Chapter 45 Lost Forever

Loki's POV

Scarlett has been missing for nearly a week and I have been worried sick as we search every place on Asgard where she could be. But she has quite literally disappeared. I hope she is alright. I won't stop searching until I find her.

I'm currently outside the palace, sitting on the steps as I wait for any news. I thought maybe I could trace her magic but I can't sense it at all.

Where could she be?

Then Thor comes up to me, "Brother, are you alright?"

"I will be alright when Scarlett is back, safe and well."

He nods, "Well, there has been a report of magic detected in the dark forest. The same magic that took her."

My eyes widen as I stand up, and go over to my horse before mounting him, "Tell father I will be back soon."

"I shall join you brother, I won't let you go alone." Thor says, getting into his horse.

We then begin galloping towards the dark forest. Please Scarlett... be there and be ok. I hope you are ok

Scarlett's POV

I wake up, my head and body is aching. Where am i?

I sit up slowly and I'm in the middle of the forest, alone. How did I get here? I can't quite remember. I better get back to the palace.

Then I stand up when I hear horses and someone calling my name, a voice that I don't recognise.

"Scarlett, are you ok?"

I turn to see Thor and a man get off their horses and approach me. The man makes to hug me but I back away. Who is this guy?

"Thor, who is this guy?"

The man stares at me in shock as Thor asks, "Don't you recognise him? It's Loki."

I stare at the man called Loki, "I've never seen him before in my life."

Loki signs, "Let's just get her back to the palace."

Loki gets onto his horse and I get on the horse with Thor. Still not quite sure what happened. This man named Loki looked so relieved to see me but I don't even know him. I've never met him before.

Loki gallops ahead so I ask Thor, "Thor, who is he?"

"He's my brother."

My eyes widen, "You have a brother? Why haven't I met him before?"

He doesn't answer and instead we gallop straight back to the palace in silence. We get back and Lady Sif is there waiting for us.

Thor speaks up, "Take Scarlett to her room."

She stares at me confused, "Ok, come on Scarlett."

I follow her inside, turning back to see Loki is watching me. My head begins to pound but I ignore it as I turn away and go inside.

Loki's POV

I felt like my heart has been broken as I watch her walk away. She doesn't remember me.

Thor comes up to me, "What happened to her? Why can't she remember you?"

I sign, trying my best not to crumble, "Whoever had her, wiped her memories of me completely with a powerful spell. So powerful that she..." I hold back tears, "That she won't ever remember me again."

"There must be something we can do."

I shake my head, "No, she won't remember me again. A spell like that can't be undone."

I leave him and go straight to my room, knowing she is on the other side unaware who I am. Tears begin rolling down my cheek, I have lost her forever.
