hello my fellow fanatics. I'm so sorry about my extremely long hiatus, but I feel that maybe it is coming to an end now. mostly. I'm not gonna be on here every minute of every day, coz I have 9 classes I have homework for, I have friends, I need to live my life "Outside of the internet" as my mother says, and on top of that I need to try to relax a bit "Without technology" mother again. and also, I'm sorta running out of ideas. that's ok. I have one main idea for an actual book that I'm hoping to publish and make some actual money off of. my limited ideas are ok, that means the ones I have are actually better than actual hunks of crap. but now when I do have an idea, I has a laptop (I'm actually using it now) and I can use it to get on here and if I can't write the actual thing I can at least make a very vague rough draft that I can enhance later. So anyhoo. I'm just gonna get into this. I know I make a lot of stories like this, but I love fluff more than my own existence, though that isn't difficult. Also, this is a Doomsday-Never-Happened fic, and Rose stayed on forever. Set right after Midnight. I'm just gonna shut up and give you fluff. Enjoy, my geeklings.
Doctor's POV:
After a long day, or as day-ish as possible in the TARDIS life, Rose and I decided to go take a shower. Not together, of course. No. She would never agree to it. Not that I would ask her, anyway. I most definitely do not think about her like that. Never have. Never will. Nope. Aaaaanyways...what was I saying? OH! That's right. Showers. Yes. So, we decided to go take two very, very separate showers, because we were both soaked in this sort of green, gooey slime. Well, it was actually a giant caterpillar's bogey, but let's not get too far into that because I will get sick. I'm gagging now. Anyways, Rose and I took showers, and then we watched a movie in the media room about some man from her world that foes off to fight in some war and leaves his lover behind. He sends her all these letters and she sends him letters in response. I think it was called something like Dear John. I dunno, I fell asleep half-way through the movie. I woke up on Rose's lap and her fingers in my hair. It felt...nice. I definitely liked how it felt, it gave my scalp a weird tingle and made my entire body ache for more. I can control my reactions, but it absolutely felt wonderful. I moved a little too much, and she noticed I was awake.
"Hey there, sleepyhead." She said to me.
"Hey! I'm not the one who practically sleeps half their life away." I said as I was sitting up. She glared at me.
"Well, I'd stay awake if I had that superior biology you're always bangin' on about. But, I'm just a silly little human, and don't have much of an energy store. Sorry." She said, hanging her head a little. Her tone was that of an exited child that just got completely waved over, and I felt horrible. I sat up.
"Rose, look at me. You're not a silly little human. You are brilliant." She looked away from me, and I put my hand on her cheek and gently turned her face back towards me. "I'd do anything for you, in a heartbeat. You know that, right?" I looked into her eyes and saw only the faintest glimmers of hope flash through them, before being consumed by confusion.
"Doctor?" Her eyebrows furrowed, and I saw the wheels turning in her head.
"Yes?" I absentmindedly stroked her face with my thumb.
"You have two hearts. Not one. That expression is for people with only one heart. But you have two. Don't you mean, in the beats of a heart, or something like that?" I chuckled lightly to myself.
"No. I meant what I said, Rose." I realized my hand was still on her face, and I lowered it. She leaned forward and gave me a quick peck on the side of my cheek, half on my mouth. Then she burrowed herself into my chest, making me fall backwards onto the couch. I was so shocked that for a moment, I didn't hug her back. Then I realized who was laying on my chest, practically trying to weld themselves into me, and then I wrapped my arms around her.
