TARDIS's POV:

After a long, eventful adventure, I was in desperate need of some repairs.

"Well, you see, there's a few loose screws at the top of the time rotor, and then I have to go under the grating and try to fix the stabilizers so that maybe she can stop shaking so much when we land and then I have to fix the-"

"Doctor, it's ok. I understand you need to make some repairs, I won't understand what you're talking about if you just give me a list though." She laughed, so he figured that she wasn't in a bad mood, and he laughed too. Well, more like giggled, but you get my point.

"Alright then, where would you like to go while I make repairs? Ooh! There's this nice leisure resort I've been planning to take you to. It has a beautiful diamond waterfall, actually they're sapphires, but they look like diamonds so that's what they're called. But you have to stay indoors, the sunlight is x-tonic, stepping out into it would be certain death. I'll take you there, if you want. Could be a nice getaway for you. I'd join you once I finished repairs." My Thief quickly rambled off.

"Well, that sounds lovely, except for the "certain death" part. Not too safe sounding, is it?" My Wolf retorted. She chortled then. "But, when have we ever gone on the safe route?" Both of them burst into laughter. Then, my Thief got serious.

"Rose, you don't think I'd take you somewhere unsafe if I wasn't absolutely sure of your survival, do you? Because I wouldn't." I could feel that he was thankful he was under the grating, so he wouldn't have to see her face. But, oh how I wish he had. Her face melted from the joy of the instant into the joy of love.

"No, Doctor, I know you wouldn't. I know you well enough to know that." Wolf replied. My Thief smiled in response.

"Good, that. Now. where do you want to go while I finish all these repairs? Visit to your mum? You haven't seen her in a while." When my Thief saw how our Wolf's eyes lit up at the idea of seeing her mother again, he smiled.

"Alright then, I'll set the coordinates!" And then he danced around my console and pushed the right bobs and buttons in a manic dance only he knew the tune of. Then, I entered flight mode, and we were off to the Powell Estates. We landed with a thump. The two lovebirds both arose doused in laughter, and pulled each other in for a hug. This made me hum with satisfaction. I always loved seeing them so close, and I could only hope that things would go farther than a rather longer-than-necessary hug.  They pulled apart, much to my displeasure.

"Okay, right out those doors there is your beloved childhood home. I shouldn't be more than a few hours, you're welcome to come back anytime you like, though. Tell Jackie I said hello." My Thief rambled off, the last part thrown out as he climbed underneath my grating. Wolf smiled.

"You can count on it, mister!" And with that, she turned, exited my doors, and gently closed them.

"What are you doing, not showing her how much you love her?" I inquired of my Thief.

"I'm saving her, is what I'm doing." He replied matter-of-factly.

"From what? Being loved?" I poked.

"No. From me..." He stated sadly.

"She doesn't need to be saved from you. She has seen everything that you try to hide from her, and she still loves you. Why can't you accept that? Don't you want to call her your own?" I angrily projected to him.
