Doctor's POV:
I'd been searching for Rose for nearly three months now, but I was so close. I landed the TARDIS in an area that might have clues as to where she was, and I slowly walked out with Donna. I hadn't been sleeping much, maybe once or twice every few weeks. Donna always forced me to sleep whenever I did, saying "Doctor, if you want to stay healthy for Rose, you have to sleep!" Donna's justifying my sleeping using Rose always got me to go right to sleep. Since I hadn't been sleeping or eating much, I had bags under my eyes and I was getting thinner. I could feel the hunger but it wasn't quite important to me, the only thing that mattered was finding Rose and holding her close.
"Doctor." I heard Donna say and I closed the TARDIS doors, locking them behind me.
"Yes Donna?" I asked, slightly bored sounding. In a way, I was bored. All I could think about was Rose, and that left no room to think about anything else or even be amused by it.
"Doctor, you need to look." Donna said, tugging at my sleeve. I turned around and looked where she was pointing. I saw a figure walking down a paved road, with blonde hair and-wait. That was Rose! I immediately began to run as fast as I could to her, and she started to run to me too. Just when I was only a few feet from her, I heard the unmistakable sound of a Dalek laser.
"Rose!" I screamed as it went straight through her side, making her scream in pain. Donna ran up to the Dalek, pure fury replacing my blood. She dodged it's lasers and got right up next to it.
"You killed the only woman he has ever loved, now I'm going to kill you." Donna said to it, right in front of its eyestalk. She grabbed it's laser and broke it, doing the same to its sucker. She jammed the laser into the eyestalk.
"Mercy!" It screamed.
"You had no mercy on Rose, so you aren't getting any either!" I heard Donna scream back, snapping the eyestalk. The Dalek put itself into self-destruct mode, and Donna immediately ran to my fallen companion and I.
"Rose." I said as I took her into my arms. Her eyes were shutting rapidly, and she fought to keep them open.
"Rose, be strong now. You need to hold on, you hear me? We've got things to do, you and me. Hey! Hey! We can go anywhere, everywhere. You choose." I told her, gripping her tighter.
"That sounds good." Rose weakly said, chuckling slightly and the wincing in pain.
"You're my Rose, and we've only just got started. You're going to be great. You're going to be more than great. You're going to be amazing." I said to her, tears welling up in my eyes and falling onto her head.
"Doctor." Rose said, slowly moving her arm up to cup my cheek. I immediately leaned into her touch and put my hand over hers.
"Yes, love?" I asked, taking that same hand and kissing it.
"Doctor I-I love you, you daft man." She told me, tears escaping the corner of her eyes. I quickly wiped them away with my thumb.
"Rose I love you too, so you've got to hold on, ok? Yeah? Come on. I'm gonna pick you up, and I'm gonna take you to the TARDIS. Hold on, Rose. Please hold on." I said, picking her up and running to the TARDIS. The TARDIS opened up her doors and put the med bay in the first door. I immediately hooked Rose up to an IV, and prepared a blood transfusion, seeing as she'd lost a lot of blood from that Dalek shot. There wasn't any other blood on board that was her type other than mine, so I hooked myself up to the transfusion machine and gave Rose my blood. Then I heard the beeping of the heart monitor slow down. I rushed over.
"No, no no no no no no don't die!" I yelled at Rose's unconscious form. Her eyes bolted open as the monitor steadily got slower. She put her hand to my face.
"I forgive you Doctor. Be safe, my love. And don't be alone. I love you." She said, and the the monitor let out one last continuous beep as Rose's hand fell from my face. Her eyes were glassy and empty. Tears fell down my face, and I collapsed to the ground in tears. I screamed in anguish and misery, throwing everything that in reach. I curled up into a ball and sobbed harder than I've ever sobbed before. Donna came in, and with one glance at me she knew that Rose hadn't made it. She came up to me and pulled me up enough to get in for a hug. She held on to me as I sobbed for who knows how long. (A/N that was a reference there) She stroked my hair and rubbed my back. She didn't say a word. I finished sobbing some time later, and got up. I took a look at Rose and felt a wave of nausea come on me, so I ran to the sink and emptied the contents of my stomach. I walked back to Rose's body and closed her eyes. I picked her up and carried her to her bed. Donna was out in the hallway when I went back out there. I looked into her eyes and saw that they were almost as pain filled as mine were.
"Doctor....I'm so sorry. I know how you feel." She said, putting her hand on my shoulder. I nodded and smiled weakly at her before moving to the console room.
"We're are we going, Doctor?" Donna asked.
"Rose had a mother, Donna. I think she deserves to know why her daughter is never coming home." I said, both hearts sinking even further. Donna nodded.
"Do you want any help?" She said, almost too quiet to hear.
"No." I choked out. "I have to do this alone." I told her, my voice cracking like old parchment. She nodded and left to go to her room. I set the coordinates and went into flight, arriving only moments later. I stepped out to see a glaring Jackie.
"Nice of you to show up after three weeks, Doctor. Where's my girl?" My hearts felt like they were going to crumple.
"Let's go inside your flat." I quickly replied. She got in front of me.
"No. You're going to tell me were my daughter is, and you're gonna do it now." She ordered.
"Jackie, I'll tell you when we are inside!" I almost yelled at her.
"Is she dead?! Doctor tell me now is my daughter dead?!" She screamed. I nodded, and then felt a slap harder than all the others I had ever received. It was her Almighty Slap. (A/N TC reference!)
"You should have protected her!" Jackie screamed, punching me in the chest. I stood there and let my tears fall for my lost love. Jackie finished punching me, and I knew I was going to have some rather hefty bruises later.
"I want you to take me in your box there, and take me to a beautiful planet where we can bury my daughter. And every week, you are going to show up, and you are going to take me to my daughters grave. So help me if you don't I will inflict so much pain on you. Do you understand me?" She said. She didn't yell, but she still was absolutely livid. I nodded. So, I did as I was told. We buried Rose on her favorite planet, one filled with flowers. Her gravestone read.
