Matthew's P.O.V
It's been almost two months since I started dating Alex. I've been absolutely crazy about her. Even my buddy Nate has been telling me "I've never seen you so hung up on a girl like this before. You were a one night stand man." Me and Alex have this thing, it's like a trust system. But. I have something I need to get off my chest. It was a few days after we started dating, I went to a party with Nathan and Pancho and got really drunk. Next thing you know I cheated on Alex. I didn't have sex with the girl but, even hugging counts as cheating to me. I never realized how much i physically appealed to girls until that night. After that girls have been trying to get with me left and right. I just don't get it, they all want what they can't have. But when I was single, I had to work for a girl. But anyways I haven't gained enough confidence to tell Alex. But I think tonight I will, I just hate to see her hurt. "Matt!" Violet's voice rang through my thoughts, "You've got costumers at table 7!" Without thinking I went over and took their orders. Being a waiter became second nature to me, I quickly brought them their food then had a short break while they ate. I grabbed my notepad and scribbled down a quick note to Alex,
"Hey beautiful,
date tonight? I'll pick you up at 8. I love you.
-Matthew"
I slid it into her locker and wrapped up my costumers at table 7. I grabbed my keys, clocked out and left. I have to make sure everything is perfect for this date. On my way to the apartment I shared with Nathan and Pancho, I stopped at the barber shop, my hair at the top was getting a little too high. Plus I wanted a new style. I quickly left the barbers and went home to shower. "Is it me or has Matthew been nervous like all day?" Pancho asked Nathan. "Nah, It's not you. He probably has a hot date with his lady." Nathan replied in his ridiculous british accent. I was going to kill those two, but instead I gave myself one last look in the mirror. I was finally ready. I didn't go too dressy but I had on a light blue buttondown rolled up just below my elbows with a brown bowtie, brown TOMS, and some dark blue jeans. "I'm going to tell her tonight," I announced walking out my room. "Good luck with that" The guys replied in unison. Just out of spite I yelled "Thanks for the shoes Nate!" and ran out the apartment with Nathan hot on my heels.
