Chapter 27:

***Matt's P.O.V.***

"Lenox and Skylar Rodriguez. How are the twins doing today?" I asked as I approached the girls that have been sisters to me as I grew up.

"MATTTTTTTTTHEWWWWWWW!!" They both yelled together going in for hugs. "Group huggg!" Lenox shouted while squeezing my left side and Skylar squeezed my right.

"How are you guys doing?" I asked. "Haven't seen you guys since Jesus was born!!"

"We've been good. Working hard!" Skylar replied, as Lenox was in fits of laughter.

"Ah same old Lenox, and Skylar. I've missed you ladies!" I said, as I saw Alex looking around for me; my smile grew wider.

"What are you so smiley about?" Lenox asked. Just as she finished Alex began speed walking towards me.

"Lenox, Skylar. I'll like you to meet my girlfriend Alex. Alex I'll like you to meet my little sisters Skylar and Lenox." I exclaimed as they said their hello's.

"How's Matt treating you?" Lenox and Skylar asked at the same time, with grins on their faces.

"He has just gotta be the best guy ever." Alex gushed on and on to Lenox and Skylar. I got bored of the conversation and excused myself to go find the Woman of Honor.

"VIOLETTTTTTTT!" I yelled as I ran to her with open arms.

"MATTTTTTTTTTTT!" She yelled back running to me with open arms.

"How have you been Vi? I haven't seen you for like a week. As a matter of fact I don't think anyone but Nate has." I mumbled.

"Well I've been working on all of this," Violet gestured towards the gallery. "But I've missed you too Matt. Tomorrow we are going on a triple date!" She announced excitedly.

"Alright. Text me or Alex the deats and we'll see you soon. It's time for the gallery to close and I need I find Alex before Lenox and Skylar steal her away. Bye Vi!" I announced before walking off.

I found Alex, still talking to Lenox and Skylar. "Come on babe. It's time to go." I told Alex snaking my arm around her waist. She gladly leaned into me.

"Alright. Girl's day out Friday right?" Alex asked and the twins nodded their heads. "Alright I'll take your numbers from Matthew and see you Friday" Alex yelled, as I was already taking her towards the door.

"How did you like the event?" I questioned once we got in the car.

"It was fun. The twins are soo nice and I met Violet's apprentice he's the cutest." Alex gushed.

"Are you staying at mine? Or do you want me to go to yours?" I asked hopefully.

"How about you come to mine? I'd like to sleep in my bed at least one night this week." She laughed.

"Alright. I've already got my bag in the trunk. Let's go pick up your car yeah?" I questioned.

"LET'S DO THIS!" She teased. I just poked my tongue out at her and took her to her car. Alex kissed my cheek and got into her car and rolled down the window. "Are you leading or me?" She asked with an eyebrow raised. I just pulled out my phone and took a picture. "You can lead. I guess" I told her and she pulled off onto the road and sped down the street. Someone's in a rush to get home, we arrived at Alex's apartment in 5 minutes with the way speed racer over there was driving. I got my bag out the back and got out the car, where Alex was patiently waiting. "Ey speedy Gonzales. Mind slowing down next time? You could have got hurt." I mumbled to her as we walked in the building and towards the elevator.

Alex looked almost on the brink of tears. "Is there something wrong?" I asked worriedly.

"When I got into my car. I got a message from a random number saying 'Matthew is mine. Back off bitch or else!' and I got really scared and I rushed home just so we could be next to each other because I don't even want to leave the house anymore because what if someone tries to get me or even kill me-" Alex was rambling on and on.

"Alex, have you taken off the promise ring I gave you?" I asked.

"No never." She said with tears threatening to spill over.

"Well take it off and look inside." I told her. She did as I asked and started smiling. I knew exactly why she was smiling because the engraving says "Forever yours -M" She didn't say anything after that. We just got ready for bed and fell asleep in each others arms.
