Chapter 5:

The next day at work was weird. I felt like a puppet being directed by someone else. Matthew passed by me a few times winking or grinning at me. I would just flash a quick smile back or stick out my tounge. This guy was something. The work day breezed by and soon we were clocking out in th locker room. We collected our pay checks and were on our way to the car when Matthew pulled me to the side. Jaileen and Violet stood behind me but i nodded and passed them the keys, as they turned around and walked to the car.Matthew said to me "Yesterday was amazing and I would like to spend this Friday night with you." A smirk was making it's way to his lips when I nodded grinning from eaar to ear. He said "perfect I'll pick you up at 8," planted a kiss on my cheek and walked towards his Mustang. Looks like we have a date tonight. I walked towards the car where Violet was dancing in the passenger seat with Jaileen in the back. The strobe light on Jaileen's phone was on and I could hear Skrillex blaring from outside the car.I got in the drivers seat, pulled the car out of the parking spot and sped home. Jaileen and Violet looked at me with a puzzled look once we got in the apartment. All I could mumble out was "Date.... Matthew.... 8." Jaileen ran into her room looking for something I could wear while Violet rushed me into the bathroom yelling "Take a shower. You got 20 minutes!" I hoped in the shower that's when I realized what was happening. I was going on a date with the boy of my dreams. I grinned at the thought of being with Matthew. That's when Violet banged on the door interupting my thoughts "Get out the shower. It's almost 8!"
