It's Complicated

Chapter 20:

***Alex's P.O.V.***

 As we made our way up to the apartment, I avoided eye contact with the girls. "What's wrong Lex?!" Violet exclaimed as I fumbled with the keys.

"Erhmmm. Well the boys invited us to sleep over. And since two out of three of us are dating them. I said we should go. So umm pack. We got 5 minutes!" I explained while the girls just squealed with excitement. I ran into my room and started packing. I was just finishing up my bag when Jaileen yelled "Come on Lex. If you don't come now. We'll leave you here alone with Matt!" Once I heard alone with Matt I hastily grabbed my bag and ran down the hall. "Ready for a reckless 24 hours?" I questioned.

"LET'S DO THIS!!" Vi and Jay said in synchronization.  By the time we made it outside the guys had gone and put the jet skis and other beach items back in storage. The girls climbed into Nate's car, while I ran into Matt's.

"Hey beautiful! Nice to see you again" Matt exclaimed leaning over and kissing my cheek. I must have blushed because he grinned and started the car. "Ready for some fun?" He questioned pulling on to the road.

"I was born ready" I retorted. He just smiled and kept driving. Soon enough we were at Matt's apartment, and he was giving us a tour while telling the girls where they were staying. Then he turned to me, a cheeky smile on his face and eye brows raised "You'll be staying in my room tonight." He explained. "It has the most comfortable bed" Matt whispered so the other girls wouldn't hear him. I just smiled to myself.  I'll be staying in Matt's room, this should be fun. He walked me to his room and cleared the top of his dresser, "You can put your stuff here and then I'll clear out some space in the bathroom for you" He explained as he walked to the door that I assume leads to the bathroom. I heard a lot of movement then a loud crashing sound.

I ran into the bathroom "Are you okay?!" I asked, but from the blood coming from his shoulder I guess not.

"Uhh yeah. I'm fine just a little cut. Can you grab the first aid kit from the top drawer?" He asked as he started taking of his shirt. I got super distracted by his abs as he couldn't see me gawking because his shirt was stuck in his head. "Can you give me a hand?" Matt asked and I placed a hand on his perfectly toned stomach and pulled at his shirt a little. "Thanks" He mumbled as I turned around and grabbed the first aid kit. Cleaning a cut should be just like cleaning a fish right? I guess. I reached for the alcohol and a cotton ball and began cleaning his cut. It was more of a gash, "How did this happen?" I questioned as I proceed cleaning his cut.

"Well I noticed one of the light bulbs from the mirror burnt out and I reached up to grab it but I guess it had other plans and fell on my shoulder." He explained with a small laugh escaping his perfect lips. Just as he was leaning in to kiss me? I got up and put a gauze pad on his gash.

"All clean!" I piped out while getting up and going to check my phone. I looked back over my shoulder and he just smiled, I smiled back while I looked for my phone.

"Looking for this?" Matt questioned holding up my phone. I nodded my head an he walked towards me. "What do I get if I give it to you?" He questioned as he raised his eyebrows.

"A kiss!" I blurted out clapping my hand over my mouth after I said it. He just smirk and then kissed my cheek whilst sliding my phone in my back pocket. "Erhmmm. Thanks" I mumbled. After the whole phone fiasco, we put "The Expandables" in the DVD player. Half way through the movie we had a popcorn fight and spent the next hour cleaning it up.

"I'm starting to get tired" Matt said letting out a little yawn at the end. I glanced at the clock almost 6 A.M.

"Of course you're tired. It's almost 6. Well actually I'm a little tired too" I said yawning too. Why is yawning so contagious?

"Well then I'll just grab a pillow and head to the couch." Matthew stated getting off the floor and grabbing one of the many pillows from his bed. I just laid down and started dozing off to sleep. Matt opened the door ready to walk out when he came back and kissed me on the forehead. As he was turning around to leave I grabbed his wrist, "Stay with me?" I questioned hoping he would say yes. After a few seconds of contemplating he got into bed next to me and I snuggled into his chest. I remember him whispering "I love you" into my hair before I let darkness over come me.
