***Matt's P.O.V.***
We arrived at the Olive Garden parking lot and I took my keys out the ignition. "Ready?" I questioned Alex who was staring out the window, her eyebrows fuzzed into a straight line.
"What? Oh um yeah." She finally stated breaking out of her trance. I got out and then opened Alex's door and held my arm out. She got out the car linking our arms together and we skipped through the parking lot. When we got to the front, I unlinked our arms and held the door open for her. I walked up to the receptionist desk and stated "Reservation for two under Matthew Hamptons." They lady look down at the list and I took that as an opportunity to admire her beauty. I'm not gonna lie, she was cute. Alex must have noticed because when we got to the table she mocked a captial accent (A/N: Yes this is a Hunger Games refrence if you haven't read it you should) and said "The odds seem to be ever in your favor, Mr.Hamptons." I stiffled a laugh and then grinned.
"Maybe they are." I stated very matter-of-factly. She just smiled at me, the smile that stole my heart three years ago. Ah how I love that smile. "So Mr.Hamptons? What's that about? You told me your last name was David." She questioned with one eyebrow quirked up.
"Well my middle name is David. So it wasn't a complete lie." I began to explain. "My real last name is Hamptons. I try to keep a low profile." I sat there staring intently at her, and she stared back with wild eyes.
"YOUR DAD IS JOEY HAMPTONS?!" She whisper-yelled at me. I fidgeted with my fingers so I didn't have to look her in the eyes.
"Uhh yeah. The one and only." I flashed her one of my fake smiles. She looked like she was going to faint. I glanced up from my fingers at her, and she was just staring at me with wide eyes. "Why didn't you tell me?" I just glared at the breadsticks that the waiter just set down on the table and grabbed one. "Don't avoid my question" She yelled smacking the breadstick out my hand. I glared at her. She smacked my breadstick. If I didn't love her I would have exploded right then and there. She is lucky. "Becasue too many girls use me for it, you think I'm really Miami's biggest player? No, I'm not. Too many girls have been seen leaving my apartment building sure. But are there any pictures of me with them? No because I never was. They all follow me home from clubs and parties then boost about sleeping with me to magazines for money. I never wanted all this fame. I was just born into it" I blurted out through gritted teeth. Alex looked like she was on the verge of tears. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to snap on you. It just all gets to overwhelming. I'm super sorry. Please don't be mad at me." I apoligized while cleching and unclenching my fist in an attempt to calm down. Alex glared at me and I could see a hint of shock in her eyes.
"I-I-I-I I didn't know. I'm sorry for what I said to you last time we were together. I thought your story was some messed up way of saying you cheated on me but it must have been true. That girl probably did throw herself at you. I'm sorry I was so cruel." She stated her eyes looked vacant, as if she was just realizing something for the first time. I was getting ready to get up and hug her but the waiter came with our food.
"Baked zitti for Mr.Hamptons and a chicken salad for Mrs.Hamptons." The waiter stated while placing the food down infront of us, bowing and then walking away.
"Wow, a bow and everything." Alex joked.
"Yes ofcourse, Mrs.Hamptons." I teased back.
A small blush crept onto her cheeks while she glared at me at stabbed her fork in the salad. I just laughed before shovling a forkful of baked zitti in my mouth. The food here is amazing! My phone rang two minutes into the meal and I was practically done. I slid it out of my pocket and looked at the screen "Dad". I looked up at Alex who was picking at her salad and said "Hold on. I have to take this." Before walking off into the hallway. "Good evenning Mr.Hamptons." I answerd practically saluting my father.
"Ahh, Matthew my boy. How are you?" His loud voice boomed through the phone.
"Hey dad. I've been good, but can I call you later. I'm kind of on a date." I said with almost zero confidence.
"No problem, call you later." He said a little too quick. I opened my mouth to say something but the line went dead. Okay then. I put my phone back in my pocket, and started approaching the table. That's when my heart dropped at the sight of Alex flirting with the busboy.
