****Matthew's P.O.V.****
"Oh hey... Um, Alex." I stumbled out mesmorized be her appreance. God did she look better than ever. Nate shot me a text saying that she left already so it was safe to come by, but now I'm here. Starstruck, standing in front of the ever so famous chef Alex. She wasn't supposed to be here right now, I came to talk to Nate and Violet.
"Hey Matthew." She mumbled before running out to the parking lot.
"Nice job, asshole!" I muttered under my breath to Nathan who was just standing there smiling. Why was he so happy and smiley? That's when I turned around and noticed Alex came back.
"Hey.. Matthew, can we.. uh talk?" Alex stated uneasily.
"Sure, where do you want to go?" I asked follwing her out to the parking lot.
"Um not here. I'm tired of the food. Maybe Olive Garden?" She questioned raising her eyebrows at me.
In my head I was jumping up and down yelling OMG YESSS! But I had to keep my cool so I simply stated "Sure. Do you want to go home first? Or do you want to meet me there? Or take my car? or take your car?" I countinued rambling on, sounding rather stupid.
"Hmmm. Yeah we can take your car if you would like." She gave a weak smile with that statement.
"Off we go my friend!" I announced putting my arm around her shoulder and leading her to my car. She didn't pull back, but she didn't exactly relax. Her muscle still felt tense as my arm was slung around her shoulder. I opened the passenger door for her just like i always have and waited for her to get in, then made my way around to the drivers side and hopped in. I put my key in the ignition and the engine roared to life. I forgot my "Hello Goodbye" CD was playing and one of my favorite songs started blarring through the speakers,
"I like where we are
when we drive in my car
I like where we are here.
Cause our cheeks can brush
and our lips can touch here!"
I sang the lyrics in a whispered voice, on the other hand Alex was wailing the lyrics at the top of her lungs. I was beginning to believe this was going to be a good night. I turned up the volume and belted out the lyrics at the top of my lungs with her. The song came to an end as we approached a stoplight. Then i leant over whipsered "I love you Alex, always have always will." Then i reached for her face and kissed her.
