Chapter 13: A chance to live

"Yeah. I do too." Sirius whispered

Lily's P.O.V.

I woke up in my bed the next day.

'How did I get here?'

"Morning Lily." Marlene said

"Morning."

"You okay?" Mary asked

"Yeah..." Some tears leaked out of my eyes

"No you're not." Eva said. "We miss him too you know."

"Well... I... I was there when it happened"

You were?"

"Yeah... James came to rescue her. Um, here's you're book Lil. James asked me to give it to you." Marlene handed me my 'Divergent' book

"Thanks." I muttere

"You wanna get breakfast?" Eva asked

I shook my head. I wasn't hungry.

"You sure?"

"Yeah Mar."

"Okay." Mary said

They left our dormitory and went to the Great Hall for breakfast. I was alone in our room so I started to read Divergent again. When I was halfway through my book now when I got hungry so I left our dormitory and went downstairs. I was walking down the stairs when I saw familiar jet black hair.

"James?" I asked even though I knew he was gone.

The figure turned around and I saw James Potter...alive.

"Hey Lil."

My eyes widened and I screamed.

"JAMES!!!" I ran to him and hugged him tight.

Maybe I screamed too loud cause Rem and Sirius came out of their dormitory looking sleepy. When they saw James their eyes widened as well.

"Prongs!" Sirius yelled "Y-Y-Y-You're alive!"

"How? Did you... Siriusly drink the potion?" Rem whispered

He nodded

"How did you? I was with you the whole time!"

"Padfoot... I don't tell you everything"

"I know"

"I-I missed you James!"

"We-we thought you were dead!"

"Why? Why wouldn't wake up last night? You're eyes were open."

"I was asleep. I had a talent of sleeping with my eyes open, right Padfoot."

Sirius facepalmed and said,

"You used that for classes! I'm so stupid!"

James smirked and said,

"I'm hungry. Let go."

We headed to the Great Hall and when we entered the Great Hall quieted and a few gasped.

"Potter!"

"You're alive!"

"Dude how?"

People started shouting questions and the Gryffindors roared with happiness.

"Mr. Potter I'm glad you're alive but this is a place to eat, not the Quidditch pitch."

The hall quieted down and we took our seats.

"How did you?" Marlene asked

James just smirked "Mar, I'm dead."

He wiggled his fingers in front of her and she turned white and Sirius cracked up.

"Mar, relax. He's kidding" I said through giggles

"You believe too fast, Mar." Sirius said, putting an arm around her shoulders

"I definitely do not." She frowned

"Yes you do, Mar. now shush I'm hungry and you're interrupting me." James said
