Dean's Pov:
"Wait Amanda! Come on baby!" I call as I jump up and follow her out into the hallway.
"Amanda just hear me out!" I plead to her as I place my hand gently on her shoulder.
"What Dean?" She snaps, quickly turning around to face me.
"Amanda I can explain, just please don't go." I sigh in devastation as I look deep into her crystal clear blue eyes.
"Well then go ahead Dean, I'm all ears!" She replies coldly in irritation. I stare far into her hurt eyes and can't help, but think that it's all my fault.
"Amanda I love you, you know that right?" I question her as my hand slowly moves to her face, instead of her leaning into my touch, she jerks away from my hand.
"Dean, Why didn't you want me to work this case?" She asks her voice sharp and her eyes cold as ice as they stare into mine.
"Baby, please just come sit down." I suggest as I motion to the living area.
"No Dean! I'm not gonna sit down till you tell me why!"
I sigh in defeat and rub my hand over my lips in frustration.
If I tell her why, she's gonna be pissed and leave, but if I don't tell her she's gonna be pissed and leave. What should I do? I question myself as I go back and forth between my two options.
I deeply inhale before I start.
"Amanda truth is, Sam and I have been really worried about you ever since the whole angel ordeal." I look deep into her eyes, hopeful that she takes it better than I think she will.
Amanda's Pov:
"Dean that's no reason to cancel a hunt. I need to be out there saving people, that deserve to live a long happy life, and hunting things that deserve to be in the deepest darkest part of hell." I explain as I try and hold back my anger."The family business." Dean mumbles sadly looking past me.
"Exactly Dean, don't forget you weren't the only one who grew up in this line of work." I say still trying to keep my harsh feelings under control.
"Amanda baby, I know that, I just care about you so much, that I would never forgive myself if something ever happened to you." Dean explains with saddened eyes.
"Dean, you can't protect me from everything." I reply looking down to the floor my voice almost inaudible.
"Well I can damn well try." He says his voice determined as he sends a protective glare my way.
"Look Dean, I get that you wanna protect me and all, but I'm okay. You don't need to protect me, I can take care of myself, so I'm going on this hunt, like it or not."I say as I turn to walk out the door.
"Damn it. Amanda, If you want to go on the hunt then fine, but I'm coming with you!" He says in frustration as he grabs my arm.
"Fine!" I say as I break my arm from his grasp. Just then the door slides open to reveal Sam with a bag of snacks from some gas station.
"Oh, um yeah, I'll just go sit these down." Sam says as he awkwardly makes his way around Dean and I.
I catch Dean staring at me, so I roll my eyes and walk into the kitchen, where Sam is setting out all of the snacks.
"Oh hey Amanda, I got your favorite, plain vanilla!" Sam says referring to the small tub of ice cream sitting on the table.
"Thanks Sammy, but it's gonna have to wait, cause we gotta case to work, get ready we will be leaving in ten minutes." He smiles at first, but his smile then fades when he hears about the case.
"Okay, I'll be ready let me go get my gun." He says before he leaves the kitchen. Once he exits Dean enters the room.
"Amanda are you sure you want to do this case?" He asks his voice sounding almost defeated.
"Yes, I'm sure, why wouldn't I want to Dean?" I answer with a cocky smirk.
"Well Amanda some of the things that the angel said-" Before he could finish I cut him off.
"Hold up there Dean-o, you already know how angels are, they are dicks, so you should already know better than to listen to what they say." I say a little to quickly for my own comfort.
My glance drops to the floor once I realize that what I said might have sounded a bit defensive.
"Yes, your right about that Amanda, but I think we both know that not everything he said was a lie. Was it?" Dean questions as he slowly makes his way towards me.
The things Morsel had said to me start to swarm around my head, everything that Morsel had said about me.
"Of course it was!" I say in denial as I storm out of the room.
