The library was silent apart from the occasional shuffling in the shelves. The couch I found was in the corner, away from everything, and looked out at the grounds. My eyes were slightly unfocused, gazing over the top of the dusty old book that I had pulled out of the shelf at random a few hours previously. My eyes were really focused on something that only my eyes could see. The white bloodstained hair and staring green eyes. A vision that seemed to be haunting me, keeping me from sleeping and causing me to worry that I was finally losing it. My vision slowly started to fade into black and I looked around in panic but it seemed like I was the only one seeing it.

A young woman with black hair and golden eyes, with black veins showing on her neck and face. As I watched, unable to say anything and she met my eyes  causing a shiver to go through me. She smiled, showing small, sharp teeth and then disappeared.

A hand came down on my shoulder causing me to sit upright and swing around, startled.

"Woah, slow down there. Are you sure that it's a smart thing to do? You know, falling asleep in here?" Jason took the seat opposite me. "It doesn't seem like the smartest thing to do under these circumstances." He looked around to the door. "Is he waiting for you?"

I also looked over to the guard who was regarding Jason with an expression of distrust. "Yeah. Angeline doesn't want me to go anywhere unsupervised."

Jason raised his eyebrows and stood again, walking over to the guard and gesturing to the door. When the guard frowned and replied with something that I couldn't quite catch Jason sighed. What he then muttered into the guards ear seemed to have some effect because the guard turned on his heel and set off down the hall, out of earshot.

"So?" Jason returned to the seat and stared intensely at me.

"I tried to find you before, but you seemed to just disappear. So I figured I would come here and wait until you just turned up. You had a habit of doing that in the past." I placed down the book that I had been "reading" to give me an excuse to be there and Jason tilted his head.

"So your final answer? There's no going back after this. You may have to do a few things that might go against all of your morals."

"....I want in. I need to get out of here anyway. I may as well cause some havoc while I do."

Jason grinned, something that I found somewhat unsettling. The hybrid stood, gesturing for me to do so as well.

"Then I have something you may be able to assist me with. I have... A few friends around here. I believe you have met one of them."

I cast my mind back but couldn't place anything. "Really?"

"Yeah. And we need to meet up. Everything is nearly in place. We just need one hell of a distraction. You up for it?"

"I have one more thing that I need to deal with." I held out my palms. His eyes landed on the bandages and clouded.

"I don't want to be helpless. And I don't know whether I can even shoot a bow after this. Before I commit I need to know whether I will be of any help."

"So... You want me to sneak you a bow?"

I nodded, waiting anxiously but he hardly hesitated. "Sure. Meet me at the kitchen door in about three hours." Without another word he disappeared and I settled back down into the couch.
