It was a long while before I stopped running. I didn't know how much time that Delsin bought me but what I did know was that it was just enough to get me completely lost in the other district. I looked behind me, only to discover that I had completely lost Reggie. 'Damn.' I thought. 'I forgot how much faster conduits are than regular humans.' My pace began to slow down to a jog as I thought about my next plan of action.

'Well shit. I'm utterly lost. And it's not like I have an address to go by either.'

As I turned a corner I felt someone roughly grab me by the shoulders and shove me into a wall. 'Oh, for the love of God! Is this really happening again?!' I thought, scolding myself for having fallen victim to the same trap as yesterday. Opening my eyes I saw that it was none other than Delsin. I let out a sigh of relief.

"You know, we really must stop meeting like this." I joked but instead of receiving a reply in his usual carefree tone, Delsin emitted a low growl. His eyes held no humor in them. Rather, they were occupied by a dangerous glint as his grip on me tightened.

"Do you have any idea how hard it is to take out an army of D.U.P.s?" By the venom in his voice I could tell that this conversation wasn't going to end well.

Fear began to rise inside of me, making my reply shaky and uneasy. "D-delsin, I uh...."

"That's right, you don't'!" His voice had now begun to rise. "Because of your little stunt I had guns firing at me like there was no tomorrow! I mean, just look at my face!"

He was right. His once clean face was now dirtied with what looked like soot and a bit of dried blood on his left cheek. Being a conduit, I knew that Delsin's wound was probably already fully healed and nothing that a wet rag couldn't fix.

"Delsin I'm sorry, okay? But it was the only thing that I could think of!" I pleaded. The intense stare he held with me was making me feel the urge to run away. If it wasn't for the hold he had on me, I probably would have too.

"Sorry? That's it? Oh no, that is definitely not going to cut it missy. You need to be punished."

"Punished?"

Slowly, Delsin leaned in closer to me, our faces only inches apart. "You need to learn your lesson, Isabella. You can't just expect people to go about doing your dirty work without giving them something in return."

"Fine. What do you want from me? We're already living together." I turned my head to the side in order to escape from the intensity of his eyes. I was not liking where this was going.

Delsin leaned in even closer, his body now pressed slightly against my own. I could feel his warm breath as he held his lips next to my ear and whispered, "A kiss."

My eyes widened and I whipped my head back to face him. Delsin had pulled away just enough so that I could look him directly in the eyes.

"You want me to kiss you?" I could feel a warmth begin to creep across my face. "B-but Delsin, I already did that! Remember?" I exclaimed.

Delsin tilted his head to the side ever so slightly and gave it a small shake. "No Bella. I'm not talkin' about a small peck on the cheek. What I want is a real kiss."

After having been locked up for so many years, let's just say that I was pretty clueless when it came to stuff like this.

"Huh? Delsin I-" But instantly I was cut off by Delsin's lips roughly smashing into mine. The entire act had shocked me so much that I felt completely paralyzed. Delsin took the opportunity to take a step closer and deepen the kiss. "Mmph!" Was all I could manage to get out as I attempted to push him off of me, but it was useless. Delsin's firm build kept him as stationary as a rock despite my protests. A strange sensation filled my body as Delsin's lips continued to assault my own. He had complete control over the situation, leaving me completely defenseless. Using this to his advantage, Delsin swiped my lower lip with his tongue, requesting for entrance. I denied his request and could feel the frown that he now held. He tried again but growled at my stubbornness. Still, he wasn't about to let me go that easily. With a slight increase in force, Delsin pushed me further into the wall. A gasped escaped from me and immediately Delsin took the opportunity to slide his tongue past my lips. His wet appendage achieved dominance easy enough as I finally shut my eyes and gave into the kiss.

After what felt like an eternity we both parted, each of us gasping for air. As if on cue, the familiar sound of Delsin's ringtone filled the air. Pulling out the device, Delsin glanced at the caller ID and groaned. Of all times, Reggie had to pick now to call.

"What?" Delsin picked up irritably. He didn't seem all too pleased about the sudden interruption.

"Whoa, what's with the tone? Did I interrupt something?" I could hear Reggie ask over the phone.

"As a matter of fact, you did. Isabella and I were just in the middle of something, you know!"

"Like what?" I yanked the phone out of Delsin's hand before he even had the chance to answer his brother. "Hey Reg. What do you need?"
Delsin watched me with an annoyed expression. He wasn't all too sure about the sudden interest I was showing to his brother. But, being as oblivious as I was, his actions went unnoticed while I conversed over the phone.

"Yeah, sorry. I-....I know how fast conduits are, I just-............but if yo-" Not allowing his brother the chance to cut me off again, Delsin retrieved his phone and brought it next to his ear. "Hey Reg, I know you didn't call my phone to chew out Isabella, so just tell me what it is you want." For a moment Delsin was quiet. "Yeah, okay. We'll be there in a couple of minutes. Bye." Delsin placed his phone back into his pocket after hanging up.

"Looks like we'll have to finish this another day. Reg is already waiting for us near Fetch's billboard."

I only nodded my head in response, too embarrassed to make eye contact with him. Still looking at the ground, I walked past Delsin and towards the exit of the alleyway.

"Oh no you don't." Delsin scooped me up into his arms before I could escape. "We had a deal. No running off. Besides, walking will take too long." Still flustered I looked up at him. By the way he had picked me up, Delsin was holding me bridal style. "Huh?" Was the only logical thing that came out of my mouth. Delsin looked down at me and smirked. "Hope you're not afraid of heights."

I continued to stare at him with the same dumbfounded expression. No, I wasn't afraid of heights but what did that have to deal with-....suddenly it struck me.

'Oh no! Nonononono! He is sadly mistaken if he thinks that I am about to let him carry me hundreds of feet above the ground!' I thought squirming about in his grip.

"Absolutely not!" I shouted at him. "You think after what you just did, I'm going to let you fly me off to god-knows-where?!"

"Don't pretend that you didn't enjoy it! Now, c'mon Bella! Stop being so difficult and let me hold you so we can get going!" By now Delsin was beginning to struggle to keep me in his arms.

"Not a chance in hell, Delsin Rowe!" I shouted. Within a few seconds I managed to squeeze out of his hold and fell to the ground. Picking myself up, I attempted once more to escape. Sadly, I didn't even make it past the first three steps before Delsin picked me back up and slung me over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes.

"Delsin, put me down right this instant!" I screamed. I thrashed about in his hold, kicking my legs and pounding my fists on his back. "If I am not back on the ground in three seconds Delsin, I am going to ki-" The smack of a hand making contact with my butt effectively silenced me.

"D-Delsin! WHAT THE HELL?!" My entire being was now bright red.

"Sorry sugar-lips, but if you're not going to cooperate then I'm afraid that I'm gonna have to take matters into my own hands." He chuckled. "Plus, I kinda like the view that I have up here." He said, giving my rear a few light pats.

"Delsin....get your hand off. My. Ass! Or else!"

"Or else what? The way I see it, you don't have a choice. Either submit or your ass will feel my wrath."

"What?!" I asked, my face as red as his beanie.

"That....didn't come out right...." Delsin replied sheepishly.

"No! No it did not! Now I demand that you let me go!"

The raise of Delsin's hand stopped my protests and he looked back with a triumphant smirk. "That's what I thought." And just like that we were suddenly launched into the air, a trail of smoke and ash following behind.
