Delsin's P.O.V.

"What the hell, man?" I shouted at my brother, stumbling slightly as he shoved me into the alleyway next to Isabella's apartment. Reggie glared at me as I straightened myself out. "The fuck's gotten you so pissed?"

"You wanna know what's "gotten me so pissed"? You, Delsin! I told you that we were here for one thing, and one thing only! The tribe, Delsin! Or have you forgotten about them?!"

Although I constantly got on his nerves, it was rare for me to ever see Reggie like this. Or at least it used to be, until I came to Seattle and met Isabella.

"You know that I haven't forgotten about the tribe." I spat back at him. "But things are different now, Reg."

Reggie scoffed at my comment. "How? How are they different?!"

"Reggie, don't start this. You know why!"

Once again, Reggie scoffed at my response, an action of his that was beginning to get on my nerves. "Oh, right. It's because of her isn't it?"

I couldn't help but grit my teeth at the way Reggie referred to Bella.

"You think this is a joke?" Reggie continued, his voice slowly rising with each passing word. "You think that this is just another way for you to mess around? We came here for the tribe! Not for you to have your cheap little screws!"

The already building rage within me finally snapped at hearing that last comment. Without thinking, I charged forward and knocked Reggie to the ground. Pinning him down, I raised my right fist threateningly in the air as swirls of smoke radiated around it.

"Don't you EVER call her that again, Reggie! She is NOT like that, and neither am I! You know damn well how I feel about her as well as the tribe, so knock this shit off! You're my brother and I love you, man. But don't think for a second that I won't beat the shit outta you for saying things like that about her! So fuck the agenda! Fuck the D.U.P.! And FUCK AUGUSTINE! I won't abandon the people back home, and I sure as hell won't abandon Bella either! GOT IT?!"

I panted slightly at the end of my rant, still glaring at my big brother. At first, Reggie seemed taken aback by my response. Hell, I would be too if I were in his position. But it wasn't long after until a small smirk played on his lips.

"Glad to hear that, Delsin." He stated casually. "Now, could you please get off me? You're not exactly light, man."

Despite my confusion, I climbed off of Reggie and watched him stand back up. "Wait. What?" Was all that I could say.

'The fuck just happened?'

Reggie quickly dusted himself off before smirking back at me. "What? You think I'd really make you choose between Isabella and the tribe?" He asked with a raised brow.

"No offense man, but yeah. I mean, it's not like you haven't done it before."

Reggie rolled his eyes at me and grunted softly. "Yeah, well. Let's just say that I wasn't entirely sure about your intentions....or hers...."

"Man, I'm hurt. You really think that lowly of your little brother?" Reggie gave me an "are-you-kidding-me?" look. "Alright, point taken."

Ignoring my comment, Reggie continued. "BUT after seeing the way you look at her, I knew that it was different. I just wanted to make sure, that's all."

"And what if I had kicked your ass before you could explain all of this?"

"Please. You really think that taking me down would be so easy? I'm a police officer, remember? I think I can handle the delinquent that is my baby brother."

Once again smoke curled up from my hands as I stared Reggie down; this time with a smirk. "Should we find out, Reg?"

"You, a conduit, want to fight me, a police officer, outside of an apartment filled with civilians? Two of which are young conduit women who are currently trespassing inside of someone's apartment? In a city full of D.U.P.'s?" Reggie gave me a skeptical look before I deactivated my smoke powers. "Yeah, I thought so. Now let's go back. I don't think leaving our once innocent Isabella alone with Fetch too long is a good idea. Or at all, for that matter."
