For the first time in years, I awoke the next morning from a peaceful sleep. After having dreamt of nothing but nightmares for so long, nothing but happiness filled me from finally having a refreshing sleep. Rolling over, I let out a contented sigh as a familiar embrace tightened around me.

"Mornin', snowflake." Delsin greeted me softly, his voice slightly groggy from just waking up. As he placed a gentle kiss on top of my head, I snuggled closer to the male conduit before returning the greeting.

"Good morning to you too, hot stuff."

"You know it." Delsin responded with a slight chuckle. A few moments passed in a comfortable silence as we laid in each other's embrace. For once, everything seemed perfect.....

............for about three seconds.

Unfortunately, the universe has a cruel sense of humor. Especially when it involves me. Outside of my closed bedroom door, a faint click of the front door could be heard followed by an all too familiar voice.

"Delsin? Isabella? You guys home?"

"Oh, you have GOT to be kidding me. Reggie?! I mean, c'mon! Seriously?!" Delsin hissed to himself.

And if that wasn't bad enough, a second voice was added into the apartment. "Hey, D? You here? Frosty? Where the fuck are those two?"

"Oh, sweet lord no...." I said under my breath. Out of all the people in Seattle, Reggie had to bring Fetch.

Delsin and I remained wide eyed and frozen as we heard the officer mumble to himself. "If I knew, then I wouldn't have asked for you to help me find them."

"Ya know what? Screw you! I didn't have to come and help you!"

"Then why did you?" Reggie retorted, sending the two of them off into a full blown argument, (*shocker*).

Taking advantage of the pair distracting each other, Delsin bolted upright with me still in his arms.

"Bella, I never thought that I'd say this but, HURRY UP AND GET SOME CLOTHES ON!"

Immediately, the two of us jumped out of bed before scrambling around the room. As we hastily located our scattered attire and dressed ourselves, the sound of arguing stopped and was now replaced with the echo of approaching footsteps.

With record timing, the two of us managed to make ourselves somewhat presentable. However, doing a quick check over ourselves I noticed one key detail missing. "Delsin, your hat!" I cried out as I spotted the red beanie resting on the floor.

"Shit!"

Racing to the article of clothing, I snatched it up and was just about to finish putting it on the male conduit's head when I heard the door open. Turning around, I was greeted by a shocked Reggie and an amused Fetch.

"Uh, hey guys!" I greeted, attempting to sound casual. "What are you two doing here?"

"What the fuck happened in here?" Fetch looked around the room. "Damn. Looks like you two partied!"

For a moment I was confused. Following Fetch's gaze, I studied the room only to find that the mess of what was once sheets and the ice shards that impaled them were still in the room. Snapping my head back in Fetch's direction, my cheeks began to heat up at her knowing smirk.

"Yeah, I guess you can say that." Delsin stated as he pulled me closer to him, making my blush worsen.

"It-It wasn't like that!" I lied. "There was a, um-"

"Let me guess, a spider?" An unamused Reggie spoke up as he glared at his brother.

"Yeah! A spider! Wait....I mean...." My words became jumbled as I realized how I had already used that same excuse before. And pretty recently at that.

Reggie just rolled his eyes at my bashful state. If it were in any other situation, he might have found it somewhat amusing but right now he had only one thing on his mind. "Delsin." The officer's tone was low and serious, as were his eyes. "Outside. NOW."

Delsin practically flinched at his brother's words. The only time Reggie had used that voice was when Delsin had screwed up badly. Despite his urge to make a smartass remark, Deslin reluctantly left the room without another word. With one final glance around the room, Reggie followed soon after.

After the two Rowe brothers left, the room immediately fell silent. What were only seconds felt like hours before one of us finally spoke up.

"So....a spider?" Fetch crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow at me.

At first, I simply stared at the woman blankly before responding, "It was a big spider."

"I see." Fetch took a small step forward, a teasing smirk tugging at her lips. "And how big would you say that this, 'spider' was?"

Despite my usual obliviousness, I managed to catch onto what the woman was implying. Once again, my blush deepened in embarrassment as I attempted to compose a comprehensible reply.

"F-Fetch!"
