"Isabella?"

"Hmm?"

"Before we do this, can I ask you something?"

I turned towards Delsin with a raised brow. After meeting Fetch we spent hours trying to locate a remaining core relay, seeing how Delsin had already drained most of them out. Finally, after what felt like forever, Reggie was able to pin point the location of one. There was only one problem. The core relay was completely surrounded by D.U.P.s.

To avoid having to fight our way through them, Reggie decided that it would be easier if someone helped sneak me inside. Unfortunately, that someone was Delsin. So here we are. Just two bio-terrorist on the roof of a building watching dozens of D.U.P.s standing guard below us.

'I wonder how much longer it will be till Fetch gives us the signal?' I wondered. Deciding that we still had some time, I urged Delsin to continue. "Yeah, what's up?"

Delsin looked around nervously, as if unsure of his own question. "You're....you're not really gonna use your powers on me after we get them back....are you?"

I gave him an incredulous look. "Really Delsin? THAT'S what's been bothering you?"

"Come on, Bella! I'm serious here!"

Sighing, I looked back down at the D.U.P. agents. "No Delsin. I'm not going to attack you when I get my powers back."

'Not at first, that is.' I thought. 'Everyone knows that the element of surprise is best when taking revenge. He won't even know what hit him.' I chuckled to myself, making Delsin even more uneasy.

"Um, Bella? What's so funny?" My slightly evil smile was just plain out creepy to him.

"Oh, nothing!~"

"Okay....you're kinda freaking me out...."

"As you should be...." I muttered under my breath. Before Delsin could say another word a loud explosion went off in the distance.

"That must be Fetch. You ready?" Delsin picked me up bridal style as he stood. Looking into his eyes I nodded an affirmative yes. "Okay then. Watch out below!" And with that, he leapt off the side of the building.

The pavement beneath our feet cracked upon impact as we landed. Before looking around, Delsin put me back into a standing position. So far, no one had noticed us. Just like we thought, the D.U.P. had abandoned the area to investigate Fetch's distraction.

Grabbing my hand, Delsin lead us to the unguarded core relay. I stopped in front of it, dumbfounded. "Now what are we supposed to do?" I asked. Delsin simply smirked at my obliviousness. "Simple. We crack this bad boy open."

Before I could even ask, Delsin fired a shot of smoke and ash at the machine. The loud ringing of the impact forced me to cover my ears. "Damn it, Delsin! You could've warned me at least!" I accused the smirking conduit.

"What? Did you think that I had a key or something?"

"Ugh....guess you're right." I mumbled, looking back at the core relay. The entire top half of the thing had been completely blown off, revealing the glowing blue lights that it held within. "So, what do we do now?" I asked.

"Now's the fun part." Grabbing my hand once more, Delsin lead me closer to the core relay. Positioning my hands so that they were hovering above it, he continued with his instructions. "Just absorb the energy like it's fog. And no matter what you do, don't stop." After he finished he took a step back. Still a bit unsure, I looked over my shoulder at him.

"Is...is it going to hurt?" I asked timidly. Delsin's sly smirk returned to his lips.

"A little, but trust me babe. It is SO worth it."

I gave him a slight nod of my head, too nervous to even comment about the new name Delsin gave me. Closing my eyes, I inhaled a deep breath. 'Well, here goes nothing.'

Spreading out my fingers, I began the process of absorbing the energy radiating off of the core relay. At first, it felt like nothing had happened and that our plan had failed. However, before I could even voice my thoughts a surge of pain shot through my entire body. Every muscle within me felt like it was being attacked by constant bolts of lightning. I gritted my teeth together, using every ounce of willpower I had to try and not scream. The pain continued to travel throughout my body and at some point in time I felt as if I had begun to rise up off of the ground.

"D-DELSIN!!!!!" I screamed out, my voice laced in agony and pain.

Delsin's P.O.V.

I watched as Isabella absorbed the core relay's energy. The look on her face, the way she screamed my name, everything about her right now almost ripped my heart in two. She was clearly in agony as the waves of energy assaulted her entire being. But even so, I couldn't allow myself to interfere with the process, else who knows what might happen to her. I heard her call out my name again, this time it sounded as if it was a plea for help.

"Bella!" I called out as her face once again twisted into one of pain. "Don't stop! Do you hear me?! Whatever you do, DON'T STOP!"

The entire ordeal was excruciating to even see, but I knew it had to be done. She had already come so far, all she needed to do was bear through the pain regardless of how bad it was. Once more, Isabella attempted to call out my name but before a single syllable could escape her lips, a tremendous pain washed over her body as she let out one ear piercing scream.

Bella's P.O.V.

Pain. That was the only thing that registered though my body for what felt like an eternity. I could feel the energy trying to course through my veins but it was almost like there was a barrier preventing it from doing so. The pressure began to build up, filling me with such intense bolts of pain that no word could even describe. Finally, as the last pulsing wave of energy hit, I could feel Augustine's barriers crumble and fall, allowing a new sensation to overtake my body. As if by the flick of a switch, I felt something deep inside my body suddenly activate. In an instant the pain suddenly turned into pleasure, the once agonizing jabs of energy transforming into a sensational swarm of energy washing through my body. The feeling itself was almost intoxicating but, like most pleasurable thrills, it left me all too soon. The ground beneath me returned once more, leaving me to wobble from side to side as I attempted to regain my bearings.

Slowly, my senses returned to me and I could hear Delsin's footsteps rushing to meet me.

"Isabella?! Hey, Bella! Are you okay? Look at me!" Panic was clearly audible in the male's voice but in no way did I feel alarmed by it. Instead, I felt...different....it was as if I was whole once more. Like a long lost piece of the puzzle had finally been put into its rightful place. For the first time in years I felt complete again, reenergized and empowered once more. Hell, I felt unstoppable!

A smile crept across my face as Delsin reached my side. Placing a concerned hand on my shoulder, Delsin attempted to help steady my swaying form as he examined my current state.

"Bella? You okay?"

All that responded was the smallest hint of a chuckle coming from my slightly hunched over form.

"....Isabella?" Delsin asked again, this time more curious than worried.

Slowly, my chuckles rose into laughter as I began to straighten my form into a standing position.

"Ha...haha..Hahahaha!" Without warning, ice began to climb across Delsin's feet as I raised my head up.
"The hell?!" Delsin questioned while trying to escape, but it was useless. Already his feet had become completely encased in ice, securing him in place.

"Am I okay? Delsin, I'm BETTER than okay! I feel AMAZING!" Looking into my green orbs, Deslin could see that a new spark had been ignited inside of me. One that looked powerful, dangerous....even frightening.

"What the fuck, Bella! I thought you said that we're cool!"

Grinning like the Cheshire cat, I tilted my head to the side. "Oh, I'm cool alright. Trust me. You won't believe how cool I can be, Delsin." Slowly, almost seductively, I took a small step closer to Delsin. "You know," I purred. "They say revenge is a dish best served cold. Hm. Guess they were right, don't you think?"
