(Warning: slight mention of suicide (cuz most of you know how the musical goes))
Logan sat there, in front of Patton, on Virgil's old bed.
"I really am sorry for your loss Patton." The nervous boy looked down at his cast.
"I-I just wish I was closer to him y'know? I could've helped him..." Patton sighed.
Logan put his hand on top of his. "You did everything you could've done. And I'm sure he appreciated it more than he lead on." He realized where his hand was and pulled it back, a nervous blush on his cheeks.
Patton looked down, sadly. "I doubt that. I'm pretty sure he hated me."
"Falsehood. He thought you were awesome."
Patton looked up. "He thought I was awesome, my brother? Really?"
"Definitely."
"How?" Patton sighed.
"Well, for example, He said, there's nothing like your smile. Sort of subtle and perfect and real."
Patton's eyes widened slightly.
"He said, you never knew how wonderful that smile could make someone feel." Logan chuckled nervously as he fidgeted with the hem of his shirt. "And he knew, whenever you'd get bored, you'd scribble stars on the cuffs of your jeans."
Patton looked down at his pant legs and chuckled. "He did?"
Logan nodded. "And he noticed that you still fill out the quizzes that they put in those 'Teen Magazines'."
Patton's mind was racing. He couldn't believe that his brother remembered this stuff about him. He'd always believed that they didn't get along.
Logan inhaled and continued. "But he kept it all inside his head. What he saw, he left unsaid. And though he wanted to, he couldn't talk to you. He couldn't find a way."
Logan looked up at his crush and smiled shyly. "And he would always say; If I could tell him, tell him everything I see. If I could tell him, how he's everything to me."
Patton tried to hold back the tears starting to form in his eyes. He couldn't believe what he was hearing.
"But we're a million worlds apart. And I don't know how I would even start. If I could tell him." Logan sighed. It was a relief to finally get his feelings out to his crush. Still, he felt a knot if guilt in his stomach at the lies spewing from his mouth.
"Did...Did he say anything else, Logan?" Patton asked, hopefully.
"Yes." Dammit more lies. "He found it rather "cool" when you decided to dye your hair that violet color." His eyes looked up as he gestured to the boy's plum pigmented hair.
Patton chuckled slightly. Logan involuntarily smiled at how adorable he was.
"And he also found your jokes quite amusing, even if they were a little "cheesy" at times." Logan looked down at his cast. He could feel the heat in his cheeks increasing slightly.
Patton smiled. "Why didn't he tell me all of this himself?"
"He still couldn't find a way to exactly word how he felt." Logan gulped. "If I could tell him, but what to you do when there's this great divide?"
Patton sighed. "He just seemed so far away."
Logan moved closer. "And how do you say; I love you? I love you..."
He leaned in closer. Patton's breathing hitched. "L-Logan what are you doing?"
"I love you." And with that he pressed his lips to the older boy's.
Patton's eyes widened as he pushed him away. "W-What are you doing?!"
Logan started to sweat nervously. "I-I'm sorry. I don't know what came over-"
"Patton! You and Logan can come down for dinner now!" Mrs. Sanders called from downstairs.
Patton looked between the door and Logan and sprinted downstairs.
~~~
"I can't believe you kissed Patton Sanders on his brother's bed!! AFTER HE DIED!!" Roman yelled.
Logan sighed. What had he done?
