{OTP/Logicality} - Absolutely Smitten

Patton sat behind the cash register, mentally exhausted.

He loved his job. He loved talking to people but, he was just worn out today.

He heard the front door of the flower shop open. He put on his usual smile and looked up to face the customer.

His breathing hitched as he looked at the handsome stranger in front of the door.

He was wearing a black polo shirt with a blue and black striped neck tie. He had a sketchbook tucked underneath his arm as well.

He adjusted his black framed glasses and looked around from the doorway, seemingly admiring the assortment of flowers.

Patton felt the heat rise to his cheeks and his lips curl into a lovesick smile.

"How can I help you sir?"

He knows this feeling all too well

He feels his heart begin to swell

Handsome stranger you have made his insides turn to jelly

He wants to dance around the room

Kiss you until your lips turn blue

Is he pretty?

They continued to talk and laugh. Each could feel themselves growing more attracted to the other.

But it's too late

He believes in fate

He's absolutely smitten

He'll never let you go

With the exchange of a phone number, both their lives would change for the better.

~4 months later~

Logan looked at his boyfriend and smiled.

They were walking hand in hand in Central Park, fully enjoying each other's company.

He looked over at him and pressed a kiss to his forehead.

That guy just there yes he's the one

With cupid's arrow in his bum

Handsome stranger you have made him happy

The first in a long time

They took a seat under a big willow tree and looked up at the light blue sky.

Logan turned to Patton and leaned closer to his ear.

"I love you." He said softly.

Did you just whisper in his ear

Words he only dreamed to hear?

Patton smiled wide and pecked Logan on the lips.

"I love you too, Lo."

Pretty fella look at how he's smiling

I think he likes you!

But it's too late

~2 years later~

The stars shined bright in the night sky. The breeze that blew through the park was cool and calm. The two stood on the little bridge above the stream.

Logan stood there on one knee, awaiting a response from his boyfriend.

Patton had tears swelling up in his eyes as he nodded vigorously. "Yes!"

He tackled Logan to the ground as he wrapped his arms around his neck. "Oh my god yes! I love you so much, Logan!" He murmured into the man's shirt.

Logan smiled and placed a kiss on the man's head. "I love you too, Patton."

Patton sat up and Logan slid the engagement ring onto his finger.

Patton smiled at it and pulled his now fiancé into a sweet kiss.

"But it's too late. I believe in fate!" Patton sang softly.

Logan smiled. "I'm absolutely smitten. I'll never let you go." He continued as he reconnected their lips once more.
