A week later on a Friday, Regina is in her office. She has a cabinet, it's old and unique wood, she opens it and on the door inside, hangs a mirror. She looks at herself. She tosses her curls, wiggling her fingers through it to fluff it up. She purses her lips together and layers some gloss on it. She stares deeply into her own eyes, almost like she's staring at her wants. She breathes, "Regina?" She hears a voice, Elliot.
"Yes?" She shuts the door of the cabinet, "Little crowded," Elliot says. "Ah, so I'm needed, the great bartender can't handle things without me," Regina says proudly. "Guess so," Elliot smiles, and Regina waltzes out ahead of him towards the bar. To her surprise, Killian is chatting to a redhead, a bit too closely, for Regina's liking.
Killian leans over the bar, and kisses the woman's cheek. Regina feels her fist clench, and her teeth press together hard, as she sees him smile. She tucks herself under the bar, and walks towards them as the woman gathers up her things. "Call me," She smiles as she walks off. Killian nods, and realizes Regina is staring at him.
"What?" he asks. "Who's that?" She asks casually, trying to remove the hint of anger and jealousy from her tone. "Woman, her name is Joanna, I took her out last week," He said. "Oh really? Is she the cigarette situation?" Regina refers to her, "Uhh.. perhaps," Killian rolls his eyes, lying of course. Regina forces a smile and picks up a bottle opener, tucking it in her back pocket. Killian can't help but glance at her ass as she does it.
"What's wrong? I'm not allowed to talk to customers? She came in to see where I worked," He said. "Why are you explaining it to me? What you do isn't my business," Regina defends. "Good, because I plan to take her out Sunday, again," He says. "And I care?" Regina snaps. "Didn't think so," He sasses. "What can I get you ladies?" He turns the charm on to the new group of women who've sat down.
Regina sighs, and turns her attention to the man in front of her sitting down, "Greetings," He says. "Greetings? That's old fashioned, What can I get ya?" Regina asks. "Just a scotch neat," he says, with an accent. "Nice tattoo," Regina notices on his arm. "Thanks, old fashioned I guess myself," he says, he has a nice smile. Regina, however, is very distracted in her mind of Killian kissing the cheek of the perky redhead earlier, and now knowing he already went out with her.
She thinks to herself, 'Did he sleep with her?', she shakes off the thoughts and tells herself it can't be too serious after one date and she really doesn't seem his type. The gentleman in front of her, with the English accent is friendly and watching the game on TV.
Regina passes glances down the bar at Killian as he works, he avoids her eyes, but his eyes glance back at her as she looks away. The tension between them is heavy, Ruby comes up to the bar with her tray, "Hey someone I need Rum and Coke, a vodka spritzer, and two shots of Jager," Ruby says. "Got it," Killian says, "No, I got it, I'm closer to her side," Regina sasses. "Oh excuse me, I forgot her highness is the master now at Rum and Coke?" Killian teases. "Yeah that's right," Regina shifts.
While the drinks are pouring, the crowd is lively, the darts are going across to the board, Graham is showing some ladies how to hit the bullseye, though mainly it's just him shooting the dart as they shoot eyes at him in a flirty giggle. Ruby rolls her eyes about it, not in a jealous way, but more, yeah he's that type way. Ruby's focus is on Lacey.
She's wearing a blue flowy tank, and some fitted black pants, and heels. She's been playing pool and serving her section of 4 tables, a couple has been there a bit, and the girl gets up to go to the restroom. Lacey is taking a shot on the pool table, and her eyes move upwards, to see the young man tossing something in the girl's drink.
She stops her shot and thinks, she looks around, and the man just crosses his arms casually back on the table. Elliot comes over to her, "Uhh, Elliot, that guy... just put something in her drink," She said. "Where is the girl?" He asks quietly, "Bathroom, I'll go stop her," Lacey says, she hands the stick to Elliot and subtly heads out towards the restroom. Ruby follows her, sensing her urgency.
Elliot goes to the table, and starts to clear the drinks, "Uhh she's not done with that," the guy objects. "Oh, really?" Elliot asks. "Hmm? I can see this isn't going to be easy," Elliot smiles. "What?" The guy snaps at him, "You know you should try willing women, not tricking them to assault them," Elliot says with a smile.
Regina comes up to them, "Problem?" She asks. "Uhh yeah no disrespect but your bar guy here is trying to throw away a perfectly good drink and accusing me of putting a drug in it," The guy says. "I didn't say that actually," Elliot smiles. Regina stares at the young man. Killian looks over from the bar.
"I'm going to believe my workers, and you can remove yourself, or I'll have them remove you," Regina warns. "I didn't do anything," the guy defends, getting more frustrated. "And you're not going to do anything now, get out," Regina threatens. She smiles at him, with a playful, yet warning look, as Killian comes up behind her.
"Problem?" Killian asks, "No, I think you guys are paranoid," the guy snaps. "Perhaps, did you put something in the drink or not?" Killian asks. The guy stares at him, "You'll learn that getting a woman drunk or drugged to sleep with you is not only illegal, but it doesn't make you a man, it makes you a criminal, get the fuck out," Killian says.
Regina shifts, she bites her lip just watching Killian swear, "Fine, plenty of bars around," The guy leaves between the group. Lacey and Ruby have intercepted the girl from the bathroom. "Did you know him?" They ask. "No, we just started talking he bought me a drink," She sighs, "Well it's ok now, how about a game of pool with us?" Ruby suggests, "Sure," the girl agrees. Lacey stares at Ruby, "Good eyes, and I thought I was the wolf," Ruby smiled.
A/N Yes I did an Outlaw Queen moment... haha .. but she's not gonna be with him ... haha. More drama with Killian and Regina next chapter.
