"Is that a line or?" Regina shifts, "That is me, and that's what you're worth, that's what I believe," he said. "Well you don't have to worry about my self esteem from some one night stand, he will move on to the next, or back to his Wolf Ruby," Regina said. "I'm not talking about Graham, obviously, I'm talking about you," Killian says.
"Well you don't have to worry about my self worth," She said. He sighs, and shakes his head, "You think it's easy for me to see you date?" She asks. "Why? Because you're not dating?" He asks. "No.. I..." she stops herself. "It's not easy for me to see you with someone else!" She blurts out angrily, her voice husky and emotional. "What?" he gapes.
"There I said it," She throws her hands up. "Me? You're jealous of her? You want to be with me?" He asks. "I don't know.... maybe.. I... don't know," She shrugs. "Well wanting to be with me, why the hell did you sleep with Graham?" He asks. "He was the closest thing to you," she shrugs. He looks at her confused, "Why? Because he's Irish and has scruff? Wow I feel so unique," he scoffs.
"No.. that's... he's not even close," Regina sighs. "Close to what?" He asks. "Close to you, he doesn't remotely give me any feeling at all," she said. "And what is this feeling?" He asks. "Confusing, like I want to be angry at you all the time, but at the same time I want to.." She stares at him, halting her speech with her tongue. He steps closer, "Want to what?" he asks softly. "I... Just... feel things with you," she said.
"Well that's just great," he scoffs, "So instead of just telling me, you go bang Graham," he gets frustrated again. "I didn't know," she said. "You didn't know how you felt Regina? We've worked together 5 fucking years, 7 days a week," he raises his voice. "I didn't know it would drive me sick and crazy to see you with someone else," she said. "I didn't even sleep with Joanna!" he throws his hands up.
"I know! But you kissed her, I told you I got sick and crazy, that's why I slept with Graham, almost like I wanted to hurt you," She admits. "Well you did," he admits. "So you feel something for me then," she states. "Why didn't you say something to me?" she asks. "There was never a good time," he shrugs. "What? We only worked together all that time, you just said so yourself," Regina snaps. "Yeah well your Ex came into the picture, that didn't help," he scoffs.
"That was three years ago," Regina defends. "You know, I don't need this, I have someone I'm dating, I can be happy," he said. "So you just want to put away your feelings for me or whatever the hell it was?" she snaps. "Hey, I been doing it 5 years, I'm pretty good at it," he said.
"Maybe I do, but maybe it's over now, maybe now it's time for closure, maybe this ship has sailed," he said. "I don't need your ship," Regina snaps.
"Good!" He snaps back at her, "Want my notice too?" he asks. "What?" Regina gasps at him, "Oh you think now we can just what? Go back to being friends? There's clearly an issue here," he said. "I don't let things affect my work, if you do, that's your decision," Regina said. He stares at her, and sighs.
"Why don't you just go then!?" Regina yells at him. "Fine, I don't know why the hell I bothered to talk to you about it," He scoffs. He walks towards the door, and slams it, Regina rushes to it, and opens it, "You know what?! Now I have closure!" She yells and slams the door shut, locking and bolting it.
Frustrated, and tired, she sits down, against the door. She plants her face in her hands, and starts to cry softly. She softly whimpers a few moments, and hears a tap on the door window above her. She gets to her feet, and wipes her cheeks of the tears, staring through the water filled in her eyes. She sees Killian outside the door, looking at her sadly.
She starts to unlock the door, looking down, and back up to his eyes. She can see the soft sparkle of the blue eyes in the lighting outside the door. His face is warm, and curious, looking at her. Unbolting the final lock on the door, she opens it, allowing him inside.
Holding the door in a moment of suspension as he steps once towards her, and with an animalistic and passionate force, he takes her face in his hand, and pulls her, she places her hands on his face, receiving him. As she's tugged to his body, her lips are reaching up to his, and locking.
He moves his lips over hers, she feels the soft tickle of his scruff around hers. His mouth is over her lips, holding them snuggly between his, and moving in a slow and teasing way. She feels his large hand encompass her waist, landing his hand on her back.
His fingers outstretch on her back, almost taking up the whole thing. She presses her hands against his face, and shapes them around to the back of his hair and his neck. As they kiss, a soft rain begins, the sound echoing in the empty bar, because of the door being opened.
She softly groans into the back of her throat, as he presses to open her mouth. She smiles a bit, welcoming his tongue, to explore. "Mmm," he groans softly himself, and finally they break their kiss, that waited 5 years.
"Wow, that's what I been missing?" Regina asks. He smirks a bit, "I could say the same," he smiles. "I guess that's not your two weeks notice huh?" She asks. "Want it to be?" He asks. "No, I need you to teach me the beer bottle trick," she said. "Ok, teach me the starburst one," he smiles. "Deal.... though based on that kiss that probably won't be hard for you," she sighs.
A/N-- Now.. Just because they kissed doesn't mean their angst is over.
