"Ahh!! hehehe!!" a child's squealing giggles echo in the apartment. "Daddy!!!" a happy little voice follows the laughter. Killian is chasing Molly up and down the hallway, catching her, and tickling her sides as he tosses her up and down in the air.
Her hair has grown, and is dark raven like her parents, with some soft waves, they go into a cute little ponytail. Her eyes are bright blue, and she's got a natural tan like Regina's skin tone. Her smile of course is Regina's, but her laugh, is just like Killian. A laugh that is deep in her tummy, and just can keep going.
"Arr" Killian playfully growls, tickling her cheek with his scruff. The little girl is now 3 years old. She's cutely dressed in black sparkly leggings, and a soft sweater, with little boots. "Ok you two crazy kids," Regina shuffles around the corner, "Coat please," she holds Molly's little jacket, as Killian places her down. "You two are crazy in the morning, no more coffee for you," Regina says cutely pressing her nose to Molly's.
"Daddy coffee kisses," Molly says in a soft voice. "You are right, Daddy tastes like Coffee," Killian smiles. "Well, not really," Regina winks. "Mmmm, careful she understands things," Killian said. "She doesn't get that, she's a genius, but an innocent one," Regina says, buttoning up the little girl, and placing a hat on her head.
The pair had discussed more children, but with how risky Regina's delivery with Molly was, they decided against making another baby. The couples around them were all planning to start families in one way or another, Sabine and Graham had married, and even after 18 months, the group was still teasing him about finally settling down.
David and Elliot were planning on a surrogate for a baby, and Ruby and Lacey were considering insemination. Molly was in nursery part time, so Regina and Killian dropped her off in the morning, and one of their parents typically picked her up.
"Ok listen to this guy, 34, Italian background, Doctor, Masters in Neurology," Ruby reads. "Nice eyes, blue, which means the baby would have blue eyes like both of us, if he does," She said. "I don't know," Lacey sighs. "You're having the same problem?" Elliot asks. "What? You guys have sperm, that's not your problem, you need the uterus," Ruby said. "Right well it's the same thing, David and I have interviewed about a dozen possible surrogate moms, no one seems to be the right fit," Elliot said.
Regina and Killian enter, "Why do you all look distressed?" Regina asks. "What did you do?" Killian asks, in his very Dad voice. "Nothing, we're just trying to get a sperm daddy, and they're trying to get a baby carrier," Ruby said. "And this is a difficult decision?" Killian asks. Regina glares at him. "Right, of course it is," He corrects himself and ducks behind the bar.
"No one seems to fit, I mean we have to get along well with the mother for 9 months, and then of course she's going to give up the baby to us," Elliot said. "At least with a sperm donor you don't have to meet him," Elliot adds. "Yeah but it's still weird just randomly picking someone, that's going to basically produce our child," Lacey said. "Why not adopt?" Regina asks.
"Lacey really wants to carry a baby," Ruby said. "I do," she nods. "Mmm," Regina agrees, "It's definitely magical, and you can bond from the beginning, they can hear you," Regina said. "Well that's not going to be possible for David and I, with a surrogate, they won't be around us," Elliot sighs.
"That's an option," Killian says, "What?" Regina asks. "Adopt," Killian says. "What? Us?" She asks. "Yeah, you are someone who not only is an amazing mother, but you have this capacity to love, what if we adopt our second child?" He asks. Regina smiles up at him, she's never considered it, and now that he mentions it, it sounds perfect. "You really think we can handle two kids? And then everyone here is going to have some soon enough," she worries.
"Oh come on Regina, you're the master at multi tasking, and you take care of everyone here as it is, and Molly, I think if anyone can, it's you, and you have me, let's look into it, what do you say?" He asks. "As you wish," she smiles playfully and walks off. "I love when you steal my lines," He winks, watching her.
"What do you think of this guy Killian?" Lacey hands him a file, "32, Athlete, good looking, seems a good donor," he shrugs. "It just doesn't feel right, I want to know the person, so I can know the baby better," Lacey shrugs. "Mmm, that makes sense, you know you all have the possibility to just do this with each other," Killian said. "What do you mean?" Ruby places a tray in front of him. "Well, Elliot and David have sperm as far as I know, and you two are both physically capable of carrying a baby, seems your set up is right there," Killian said.
Ruby and Lacey look at each other, thinking. "Killian!" Regina rushes out, "What's wrong?" he asks. "Molly is stuck at Nursery, my father didn't get her, because he..." she pauses, "What?" Killian asks, getting more concerned, "he's had a heart attack," she spits out, "Go go," Ruby rushes them out the door. "I'll get Molly," Graham assures them.
Regina and Killian rush to the hospital, seeing Cora in the hallway, "Regina," she says, "Mother," Regina gasps out of breath, "Is he ok?" Regina asks, "He's fine, he's fine, already giving the nurses a hard time, it was a minor heart attack," she said. Regina sighs, Killian gently rubs her shoulder, and they head into the room.
"Hey old dog, still kicking?" Killian asks, "Where is my granddaughter?" Gold sighs, "She's fine, Graham is getting her," Regina leans over the bed, "Good to see you Regina," Gold smiles softly. "You must be immortal," Killian jokes, with a grin, "Yes well, this is unnecessary fussing," Gold breathes. "No it's not, you have to watch Molly graduate, and will have to rest now," Regina said, leaning down, holding his hand.
"Well, that is true," Gold said. "She's good medicine, we'll bring her by later," Killian said, with a smile. "Ok ok, you two, he needs his rest." Cora says. "I'll be back later," Regina smiles softly, and then hugs him, "Oh..that's new," Gold said. "Yeah, well," Regina shrugs, and gives his hand a squeeze, and heads out.
