At the Bar

Chapter 11 Steps

Regina stared at the beautiful antique present that Killian had remembered from years before. She thought to herself and just smiled about how sweet it was that he remembered, and that he bought it for her this year. She thought about what Elliot said about love, and wasn't sure what to make of it. Regina and Killian had both been secretly in love with each other for years. 

Regina, however, didn't want to reveal to Killian that she was in love with him, even though Elliot had told her that Killian loved her already. She didn't want to put pressure on him or even herself, they were taking baby steps. 

The next day, Regina rushes to get herself ready, she wants to be the first one in, so that she can have a moment alone with Killian. She presses her bracelets over her wrist, as she leaves, walks down the street, and picks up her morning latte. 

She successfully arrives at the bar before anyone, and paces around in Killian's area. She looks at his bottle opener, it's an anchor, she smiles just holding it. She wipes down the bar quickly, and starts cutting up lime and lemon, when the door opens. She smiles, "You know I like to cut my fruit myself," Killian smirks. 

"Well, you know one day you may cut off your hand, if you get distracted," She teases. "Really? You going to be that distraction?" he jokes, "Aren't I already?" She asks. "Mmm, good point," he nods and comes closer to her. "Umm, thank you for that birthday gift, why did you leave?" She asks. "Well, I didn't know how fast we wanted to progress this, and I felt like if I was here when you opened it, we may end up on the bar," he said confidently. 

She smiles at him, and shakes her head, "You think that gift would have gotten me to have sex with you?" Regina asks, "That's not why I got it, but yeah I think that gift kinda makes me more irresistible no?" he smirks at her. "And you wouldn't want that kind of moment?" She asks. "Sex? I don't really want our first time to be on the bar, I'm more romantic than that," he smiles. 

"Really? You strike me as a quickie anywhere type," She said. "Mmm, yeah, I am, just after the first romantic time," he says. "Oh I see," she smiles. "Umm, well I want to thank you for it," she shrugs. "Oh yeah?" He nibbles his bottom lip and gets closer to her, "Yeah," she slowly moves her hand up his jacket to his neck. 

He smiles down at her as she pulls him downward to meet her lips. She kisses him, and he kisses her back harder. "Mmm," He moans, and moves his hands around her waist. The kiss becomes heated very quickly, but they're interrupted by Lacey coming in. "Uhh, sorry," Lacey says as Killian and Regina part. "No it's fine, you do work here," Regina blushes a bit at being caught. 

The others arrive, and Regina is around her office. "So that was almost on the bar," Killian stands in the doorway. "Yeah well, you didn't help with you moving my body easily," She sasses. "Uhh, I feel like, umm I should take you out officially," he said. "Really?" Regina's voice lifted five pitches. He laughs, "Wow, that was umm teenage like," he grins at her. "Well we work in a bar, you think we can get both of us out of here for a date?" She asks.

"You're the boss, I leave that up to you," he shrugs. "So you can just wing a date like that depending when we can go?" She asks. "Yeah I'm that good," he smirks. "Ok, but you can't take me anywhere you took any exes," she says. He rolls his eyes, "I wouldn't dream of it," he said. "Hey... whatever happened with the redhead?" She asks. "What do you mean?" he asks. "Well did you tell her you were over?" She asks. 

"You know, you're quite fiery when you're jealous," he said. "Look who's talking, you almost broke pretty boy's face," Regina said. "I'm not pretty?" He whines, "You are, you're handsome," Regina flirts, "I told her I wasn't ready and that I think we should part ways," he said. "Well, you didn't just ditch her, that's nice," Regina said. 

"Yeah well, I don't just ditch people," he said. "Good to know," She nods. "I work for you, it would be quite difficult for me to ditch you, you also know where I live, creepy," he winks. "So, you just arrange when we can ditch for a few hours, any night you want, and I'll make it work," he said. "You are somewhat full of surprises aren't you?" Regina asks. "I try to be," he smiles. 

He gets back out to the bar, "You two are going to be very interesting together," Ruby said. Killian raises his eyebrow, "Regina used that word? Together?" His voice goes up, "Wow, what happened to him?" Lacey stares at him, "What? Did she? Last night? When the gift, what did she say?" Killian asks. "Are you like 15, and the popular girl is dating you?" Ruby teases. Killian sticks his tongue out at her. 

"Hey," Graham comes next to Killian, "Are we gonna go back to being mates ever?" Graham asks, "Mmm, yeah, we will, but if you ever look or touch, or even sniff Regina, I'll basically kill you," Killian smiles at him. Graham nods, "Fair enough," he agrees. "Aww you two kissed and made up finally?" Elliot puts his hands on Graham's shoulders getting by them. "And what about you? The girls are all over you, why no girlfriend?" Graham asks. 

Killian looks at Elliot, and then Graham, he smiles, "What? Did I miss something?" Graham asks. "You know for the other wolf here, you aren't good at sniffing out the obvious," Killian laughs. "What the hell am I missing?" Graham asks again. Elliot smiles at him, "Yeah, you know how Ruby is?" Elliot asks. "Hot?" Graham shrugs. 

"Aww thanks that's flattering," she grins coming to them, "True, very flattering," Elliot smiles. Lacey stands next to him and starts to softly giggle. "Ok, what on earth?" Graham asks. "I'm Gay," Elliot smiles. "Seriously? But you're so....." Graham shakes his head. "Hot?" Ruby asks. 

"Well, I mean he's so ... I don't know, tough," Graham says. "Did you expect all gay men to talk like this?" Elliot dances his tone higher to sound more feminine. Killian laughs. "You knew?" Graham asks. "Yeah, I knew, I'm quite perceptive, I'm the bartender," Killian said. "Bother you?" Elliot asks. "No of course not," Graham shrugs. "Don't worry I won't grope you," Elliot walks by him, and purposely checks him out. 

Regina comes out, "Just don't check out mine," she says, Killian smiles. "Yours huh? what happened to baby steps?" Killian asks, "Still mine," She gloats. 

A/N-- I needed to do a little more about Elliot there, More Regina/Killian cute coming up. And that last moment if anyone watched Comic con, Lana says "STILL MINE" all cute to Colin.. so ;)
