"Regina, come on you have to rest," Killian says, with a small bundle in his left arm. "I am, but I have to clean her bottles," Regina said. "Regina, Regina, I can handle that," Killian gently takes the bottles from her hand. "You didn't deliver naturally, even if you did, you would need to rest even more, it's only been a week," He said. "I know, I'm just, used to doing so much, Hi," Regina smiles and takes the sweet baby in her arms.
"You're doing enough, you're taking care of a baby," he said. "Why are you so damn sweet?" Regina asks. "I don't know, just crazy about you, and this one," he smiles. "Mmm, well, we'll see how crazy you are when she keeps us up nonstop." She said.
"Sweetheart, you have to sign her birth certificate," Regina said. "We probably took longer than most people to name her, we're like a royal family or something waiting for a ceremony to name her," Regina jokes. "Mmm, you sure it's right for her?" Killian looks at the baby. Trying to imagine the little girl one, two, and ten years from now, and if the name suits her.
"If you don't like it, you want to go through all of them again?" Regina asks. "Mmm, I don't know, she seems like she is going to have a very rebellious personality, so I'm not sure something like Kate is suiting for her," Killian said. "Mmm, well she is rebellious and she was angry as hell crying out of the womb," Regina said.
"Mm you know what name comes to mind?" He asks. The baby softly coos against Regina's chest, "Molly," He said. "Molly," Regina looks at the sweet baby who slightly smirked half awake. "I think she likes it, Killian," Regina said. "Mmm, there we go, Molly it is," Killian said.
"Ok honey, Daddy has to go," Killian gently kisses the infant's head, and kisses Regina, "I'll keep you posted," he said. "Mmmm, I'm gonna miss rubbing against you behind the bar looking for the bottle opener," Regina smiles. "Ohh you are frisky for me even after a week?" He asks. "Well you're almost extra sexy with this little baby in your arm, and spit up down your shoulder," She smiles. "Mmm, Daddy Me," he kisses her again.
As Killian opens the door, "Ah am I late?" Gold asks. "Uhh what are you doing here?" Regina asks. Gold looks at Killian for explanation, "Uhh, I called him," Killian confesses, Regina glares at him, "I want you to rest a bit, so I called him and I figured he would like to spend time with his granddaughter," Killian said. "Uhh o.. k," Regina sighs. "I could call your Mum,"Gold says, "No!" Regina snaps. Killian grins playfully, "Great, you're in good hands, love you both," Killian said. "Thanks," Gold teases. "Not you, not yet," Killian heads off.
Regina is indeed supposed to rest, just didn't expect Gold, her biological father to be the one to look after her. Gold looks over the little infant, and makes a joyful content face. Regina watches him, and can't help but ask. She isn't sure her hormones are responsible, or just her curiosity, but she can't help but blurt it out. "Were you around me when I was a baby?"
Gold looks at her, and Regina takes a deep breath, unsure she really spoke those words out loud. "Uhh, yes I was actually, your mother brought you to see me, when she could," Gold admits. "So you got to hold me when I was her size?" Regina asks. "Yes, I did, it got difficult as you got older because your mother didn't want you to understand everything," Gold said. "That's when you started acting like an Uncle type, to not give it away," Regina said. "Yes," Gold nodded. "I think my father knew," Regina said.
"Do you?" he asks. "I think he knew, but he loved me so much, and I loved him," She said. "As you should, he raised you," Gold nods. "Right, umm, so you want to hold her?" Regina asks sitting down and getting the tiny baby out, and into his arms. "We named her officially Molly, Molly Rae Jones," she said. "Ah, I like it, strong, suits her," Gold said.
At work.
"Awww," Ruby and Lacey are swooning over the baby pictures on Killian's phone, "Look at her little hat," Lacey smiles. Killian smiles as he dries off glasses, "How's Regina?" Ruby asks. "She's good, and we're pretty used to being up until 2 am, just the hours between 2 and 7 are what kills us so far, but she's pretty precious to mind at all," Killian said, with a smile. "Aww, are you the swooning proud father or what?" Ruby asks. "Yeah yeah, ok she has me wrapped around that tiny little finger," he said.
"What's her name? Finally decide?" Elliot asks, "Bethany wasn't it?" Graham asks, "No, we went with Molly," Killian said. "Rebellious, it works," Lacey nods. "Yeah, I have a feeling this kid, is indeed going to be just that," Killian said. "Well, she does have you two in her, so that definitely means one thing," Ruby said.
"What is that?" Killian asks, "Stubborn," they all say collectively. Killian rolled his eyes, "Are you serious? Maybe she will be better than Regina and I about not being stubborn," he said. The others stare at him, "ok ok, shut up, get to work, without Regina, I'm the Captain here of this ship, let's go," He said. "He just went all Dad on us again," Ruby sighed.
*Baby crying*
"Shhh shhh, Hi, it's ok," Regina slips quietly from the bed at 3 am. Killian groans and lets out a deep sigh. "Daddy tired, I know," Regina soothes the baby and gently sways her. The baby is naturally content, and softly moves in her arm, gently stretching her hand up. "You saying Hi to Mommy?" Regina whispers.
Regina feeds Molly, and is able to settle her down, swaddling her back up she puts her in the cradle next to their bed. As Regina barely starts to close her eyes, she feels Killian's hand gently wrap around her, and let out a soft sleepy moan. As Regina starts to drift off, she's alerted to the baby crying again.
"Ok, So you are definitely a rebellious little thing already, very appropriate hmm Molly?" Regina asks. She lets out a yawn, with her infant, "Already like me aren't you?" she asks. She sees the shape of the infant's face in the dim light, "Actually, no, that's your father right there," Regina says and the infant's mouth quirks to one side into a little smirk as she sleeps.
