"Mama," the soft sound had come out of Molly's mouth a few days ago, just in time for her first birthday. "I am never going to get sick of that sound," Regina smiles at her, "Me neither, since she did say Dada first," Killian smirks. Regina's mouth falls open at him, "Ohhh Mommy got mad at me," he smirks playfully. "You sure it's fine we are having her birthday in a bar?" Regina asks.
"You own the place, it's where everything important that we do happens, and she's the product of us, I can't believe we haven't given her a drink yet," Killian said. "We came close with the teething," Regina nods. "True, and look at that pretty smile," Killian grins at the toddler. Molly has most of his looks, aside from Regina's smile.
Molly starts to fuss in her highchair, "Patience little one," Killian calls from behind the sink. "I have her," Regina rescues the impatient tot. "You know you can't do that all the time," Killian said. "What?" Regina asks, "Rescue her, second of all, let Daddy have a few dashing rescues," Killian says. "What are you talking about?" Regina shifts Molly on her hip. "She could have waited there five seconds, it's just like the sleep thing," He said.
"What? You're calling me a pushover?" Regina asks, "No, but she could occasionally use some tough love," Killian said. "She's a baby," Regina defends. "She's one, a toddler now, and that means trouble will start, especially with our personalities," Killian said.
"When she needs me to be tough, I will be," Regina says. Killian tilts his head, pursing his lips together, "You have been soft babying her since the beginning," He said. "She's a baby," Regina crosses her arms. "No, there's more to it, Regina. Is this about your mum?" He asks. "What are you reading books? Stick to bartending," Regina snaps. "First of all, I do have a college education, not just bartending license, second, this is because your mum was so tough, and almost cold sometimes that you are compensating for it with Molly," He said.
"I... you.. I don't.." Regina stammers, not having any words, "Am I right? You want to baby our child, because you don't think your mother did enough with you," He said. "I don't like you right now," Regina sasses. "Come on Regina, I may joke that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, but you're nothing like her when it comes to parenting," He said.
"Really?" Regina sighs, "Yeah really," he nods. "Just I don't want to have to be the bad cop all the time, when she gets older," he takes Molly, who naturally hugs him, "You won't, I can be her mom, which means sometimes I have to mean business," she said.
The pair head to the bar, with Molly, they plan to celebrate her birthday before the bar opens at 11 am. At the bar, Ruby and Lacey are putting finishing touches on Molly's cake themselves. Ruby squeezes the pink frosting tube, doing little wavy patterns around the cake. She touches a small part where the frosting dripped off, "here taste this," Ruby gently puts her finger into Lacey's mouth, "Mmm," she pauses, looking at her, Ruby laughs and gently switches from her finger to her lips on Lacey's mouth.
They hear someone clear their throat, "Still in the newlywed phase, hmm? Do continue," Graham says. Ruby rolls her eyes, "Did you get balloons?" Ruby asks, "No, these are just cream filled," He says sarcastically, holding the balloons. "Ok, I'm here, we were enjoying breakfast," Elliot smiles. "Oh boy, all you newlyweds," Graham sighs.
"Hey!" Regina and Killian pop through the door, "Ah!! Happy Birthday Molly!!" The group says. "Here give me," Graham has taken quite a liking to the little girl, "Look at her," he smiles. "You know you could have one of those if you just settle down," Ruby teases. "For your information, I met someone," Graham said.
"What where when?" Elliot asks, "Just out, I do have a life outside of here," Graham said. "Well? Details," Ruby says. The group gets Molly in front of the cake, of course trying to get information out of Graham, "Come on you're the last of us to be single, we all want the dish," Regina said. "You can be single very quickly love," Killian teases, "You would be lost without me," she grins. "True," He agrees.
"Come on Graham, out with it," Regina said. "You are not making me tell you anything," Graham said. "I'm your boss, Killian, make him," Regina looks at her husband, "Uhh, you want me to hit him again?" he asks. "Look at how cute Molly is with cake on her," Graham said. "Nice try, we'll get him drunk later," Regina says.
Gold and Cora arrive together, "There is my birthday girl," Cora smiles. Regina rolls her eyes a bit, "Why is she so joyous when it comes to Molly? She wasn't like that with me," Regina says, "Well, grandparents are ... grand?" Killian shrugs. "Don't let it get to you, just let her fawn over the child," Killian said. "I'm more fond of Gold at this point," Regina sighs. "You mean Daddy," Killian smiles.
Regina sighs, as her mother and of course father, Gold, head out with Molly. Their intention to obviously spoil the tot all day. Regina and Killian resume work, "So David and I got Molly a gift, it's being sent right to your place," Elliot smiles. "Oh, something I have to put together?" Killian asks, "Yeah it's a little play house," Elliot said. "He's not very handy, I'll do it," Regina smiles. "I can handle a kid toy," Killian defends. Regina chuckles softly.
"Well?" Regina asks Graham after the group has taken a shot. "Oh geez, just... she's the one, ok?" Graham said. "Woah, the ONE? Like actually going to settle down?" Ruby asks. "Yeah she is, I'll end up like the rest of you," Graham said. "So come on tell us at least her name? Measurements, all that," Ruby said. "Measurements?" Lacey asks. "I don't know, it just popped in my head," Ruby said.
"She brunette? We know you like those," Ruby said, "Not really," Graham said. "Oh not a brunette, that's new," Regina shrugs. "Really?" Killian sasses with a glare. "She's sweet, 27, good job, just great all around," Graham said. "Bring her, we have to meet her," Lacey said. "So you can all what? Judge and lecture her and all that?" Graham asks. "Obviously," Killian said.
The group ends work, and Ruby, Lacey and Elliot head out bothering Graham more as they leave about his partner. Killian and Regina hang back, "My mother just texted, Molly is completely passed out for the past 4 hours," Regina said. "Mmm," Killian tugs her cutely to him, "What is that look?" Regina asks, "That's a look of a man who tends to be jealous thinking about past things, and wants you, right now, right here," He said.
"You want to have sex behind the bar?" She asks. "Ok your office," he shrugs, and brushes past her, she grabs his hand, "No no, here's fine," She kisses him, as he shifts out of his jacket, she pulls him with her to the floor, pushing him onto his back.
