"Hey you, how you feeling?" Ruby asks, "I could ask you the same," Lacey smiles. The pair softly kiss, but have to avoid bumping their bellies, that are both at six months now. "So, we ready to tell everyone today?" Ruby asks. "Yes, I think Regina and Killian find out what their baby will be too," Lacey said. "And Graham and Sabine," Ruby adds.
David and Elliot's, "Ok ok you, let's go," Elliot leads little Merlin into the apartment, he's just as happy as can be. David is adjusting a crib, "What do you think?" David asks. "It's great, you know the baby isn't really going to care," Elliot said. "I know, luckily we can find out what it is, so I know what to paint this room," David said. "I think it's a girl, I have a feeling, and she probably will end up with your blue eyes," Elliot says. "Well with Ruby being the surrogate, that's likely," David smiles.
It was a very busy time, and with Sabine, Lacey and Ruby all carrying children, and Regina and Killian prepping for their baby to come home, things got a little crazy. The group was at the bar, all before work, "Well, who's first?" Killian asks, "You two," Ruby said. Regina smiles, "Well, it's a boy, he's due any day," Regina announces. "We're naming him Henry, after my Dad," Regina says.
"Ok, you ready?" Ruby asks Elliot and David, "Yeah, I think so, come on what's our baby?" Elliot asks anxiously, "You're having a girl," Ruby said. "You knew it!" David beams. "I tend to be right," Elliot smirks. "And Ruby and I have finally found a man we can love, it's a boy for us," Lacey says.
"Graham and I are ALSO having a boy," Sabine said. "Hopefully he's nothing like me," Graham said. "I agree," Sabine teases. "Hey," Graham laughs, and the group delights in the celebration of all the kids on the way. Likely baby Henry will be the one showing up first, and Regina is racked with anxiety about it.
"Dammit, I told you to keep this cleaner back here!" She snaps. "Woah, what's with the you sounding like you're pregnant?" Killian asks. "I don't know, maybe the fact we're going to have another baby in the house, has me nesting anyway," Regina sighs. "Regina calm down," Killian said. "Well this is different, this isn't like Molly who was inside me, or any of them who are around their babies on the way, he's not going to know me," Regina said. "He's going to also be a newborn, he will know you pretty quickly, given you're going to feed and care for him," he said.
"He's going to be your son Regina, simple as that, think about how much your father loved you and you weren't even his, and you know he knew that deep down," Killian said. Regina sighs, and knows he's right, "it's not blood that makes a family, or makes a parent, it's the heart, look around us," Killian said.
Lacey was carrying a baby for her and Ruby, using David's sperm, while Ruby carried a baby for Elliot and David, using Elliot's. It was all not your "traditional" families, but it was all love, in all forms, and they were all a family. "You're right, I guess I'm just worried," Regina said. "That's normal, but he's going to be our son, in every way," Killian said.
Couple days later
They were partly thankful the baby was going to be a boy, Molly had a possessive streak, not like that was surprising, given her parents. "That's your brother, he's going to come home," Regina said showing Molly a picture. Henry had been born early that morning, and Killian and Regina would get to take him right from the hospital.
The couple, with Molly in their arms, headed to the hospital. They were guided into a small room off the nursery. Regina sits down, and a nurse comes in, holding a small bundle. Regina's face lights up, as does Killian's, and thankfully, Molly's. "Baby!" Molly says. "Hi," Regina says, as the nurse gently places the infant in her arms. "Hi Henry," Regina said. "Hi mate," Killian says, as they introduce themselves to their newest family member.
They get acquainted for a bit, and a knock is heard, "Mr. and Mrs. Jones, we know it's a closed adoption, but the mother would like to say goodbye," the nurse says. "Oh, Umm," Regina breathes, "It's ok Regina," Killian assures. Entering the room, is a young blonde woman, "Hi," She greets them. "Hi," Killian nods and shakes her hand.
"What did you name him?" She asks. "Henry," Regina nods. "Bye Henry, I know you'll have your best chance," she said. "Umm, your name?" Regina asks before the young woman leaves, "Emma, Emma Swan," She said. "Good luck," Killian smiles, "Thank you, and thank you for taking him," She said. "Goodbye Miss Swan," Regina smiles. The women nod, as if to accept each other, just for that moment.
"Come on Henry, let's go home," Regina said. They leave the hospital with their new baby, "This isn't really home," Regina said, as Killian leads the way into the bar, "Since when?" Killian smirks, shifting Molly in his arm. "True," Regina smiles.
"Aww, Hi Henry," Ruby swoons over the baby. The group fawn together over the new baby. Killian keeps Molly happily in his arm, "More babies Daddy," Molly says. "Oh yeah?" He asks. "Yeah, tummies," Molly says, observing of course the three pregnant women around her. "You are right," Killian said. "Henry not in Mummy tummy," Molly says.
Graham, Elliot, David and Killian smile at little Molly. "That's right, But he's still our baby, because sometimes you don't have to be in your Mummy's tummy to be their baby," Killian explains. Molly, being under four, can't really fully understand all the way, but she understands enough the concept her parents are teaching her, that love is love.
"Well, here we are," Regina says. "Bigger, and reproducing," Graham said, Sabine glares at him, "I mean in numbers," he defends. The group laughs, and there's 8 glasses in a circle. Three of them containing orange juice, five with champagne and a little tiny glass with milk, for Molly.
Regina holds Henry in one arm, and Killian holds Molly, "Well," Regina picks up a glass, "I didn't really think we would be here like this, with the people we're with, and the little ones here and on the way, but here we are," Regina said. "And if Regina and I never admitted how we felt, how many of us wouldn't be here?" Killian asks, "Always have to up me?" Regina asks. "Yeah," Killian smiles.
"Ok everyone glasses in," Regina says, and the group clinks the glasses, Molly's included. "Cheers!" Molly completes for them. "Bartender," Killian laughs, and kisses her cheek, "Like her father," Regina said. "Apple does not fall far from the tree," He winks.
