Shopping gone bad

Although questions spun around in my head in what seemed to be an endless track I managed to get through my day shopping with Lexi although I can't really say I shopped to much because anything I picked out wasn't on the Lexi "sexy" radar, but at least she agreed with my bikini and shorts.

I wandered down the flip flop section while Lexi paid for her things and I felt strong arms wrap around my waist the tingles exploding through me told me I knew who it was I turned around about to make a stupid remark on which flip flops were better sponge bob or the hello kitty ones until I saw his expression.

He looked upset and serious his eyes flicking about the room when Lexi materialized to my other side her hazel eyes also searched the room but for now I ignored her and didn't fight the urge to touch Nyx. I raised my hand to his cheek "what's wrong." I asked and his green eyes flickered to mine.

"Your not safe here." He responded grabbing a hold of my bags and tucking me to his side he hurried to the door Lexi right on his heels. I looked around and spotted several groups of guys stalking behind us they seemed alert as the followed us more slowly but they obviously were. Nyx pushed his way through the crowds of people "what's going on what do you mean?" I asked as I found my voice we had stopped next to a large black jeep wrangler and Nyx started pacing back and forth Lexi took my arm with a reassuring smile and turned to her brother.

"This is as good a time as any." She glared and Nyx glared back growling at her.

"Did you just growl?" I asked and lexi chuckled. Nyx looked up as a guy I didn't know jogged into view skidding to a stop beside the truck. "Alpha they are moving closer you should take her and move to the beach house sooner than planned." the guy didn't even glance at me as he spoke but I knew who he was talking about. alpha? like wolf alpha? I wondered idly

"Princess." Nyx voice rang out breaking me out of my thoughts he stood now less angry his green eyes soften as he looked at me and his hand outstretched for me. "are you up for an early spring vacation?" he asked I stepped forward and took his hand just as he yelled something I couldn't hear for the sound of glass breaking I was yanked back into Nyx chest as two giant wolves snarled at us they had broken through the elevator but how had two wolves that size gotten in there in the first place?

Lexi and the new guy stood in front of us and I shuddered reaching for Lexi as my tiny friend stood in front of the wolves until I heard an unmistakeable snarl come out of her mouth. Nyx had the truck door open in seconds and was pushing me inside. "Nyx." the new guy said dragging out his name and Nyx growled "one second." he looked at me kissing my forehead "stay princess please." he whispered closing the door and turning back to the giant wolves.

Nyx Lexi and the new guy stood their ground in front of them the two wolves snarled and snapped their teeth one looking up and I swear I could feel it's eyes lock onto mine through the mirror I was staring at it through. "your after her?" Nyx said in disbelief and the wolves shared an uneasy glance as more of Nyx's friends appeared in the room. they backed away out of sight from the mirrors and I ducked down closing my eyes until Nyx slid into the front seat and Lexi into the back I looked at them Lexi had a frown on her face and Nyx was shaking with visible anger.

What the hell just happened? I wanted to scream as Nyx started the truck and raced out of the parking lot as quickly as he could but the darkness of his eyes and the way he was teeming in anger.. made me decide better of it.
