Lunch

I stood In the store looking at the several choices of milk debating between strawberry and chocolate when strong arms wrapped around my waist and the tingles filling my body told me who it was before he opened his mouth.

"Hello princess." I smiled "hi Nyx." I said with a laugh reaching into the cold fridge and grabbing a strawberry milk he smiled and released my waist only to shove his hands into his pockets and he followed me to the cashier handing him a five before I could protest. "you don't have to do that." I laughed as he was handed back his change and he winked at me wrapping an arm over my shoulders.

"I was hoping you could come with me." I raised my eyebrows at him "to..?" I prompted sipping my strawberry milk "lunch" he said with a smile leading me to his black mustang I looked at him for a minute staring at his green eyes as he waited for a response.

"Sure" I decided after a minute and he broke out in a big grin opening the door for me and closing it behind me. he got in and pulled out of the grocery store I had walked here as it was only a couple of blocks away from grams house.

"How are you liking it here?" he asked me to break the silence. "it's okay between you and Lexi it hasn't been boring." I said with a laugh and he chuckled I had only been here a week Now but so far I had really enjoyed it and I felt really close to Lexi already and I had an undeniable attraction to Nyx.

"How is dawn?" I asked and he glanced at me with a smile "I forgot you had met my mom on the plane, she's fine happy to be home." he laughed and I nodded sipping my milk again and looked out the window trying to ignore the urge to touch him.

After about a half an hour he pulled into a small burger joint 'five guys' and I smiled he all ready got me so well. he parked and helped me out of the car causing me to blush as he took my hand and pulled me inside taking a seat in the back after we ordered.

Nyx flopped into the chair in front of me and I bit my lip his green eyes darkened a bit as he watched. "so why lunch?" I asked nervously and he closed his eyes for a moment and when he opened them they were back to the bright green again. "because I couldn't stop think about you." he smiled leaning back in his chair and I blushed looking down he leaned forward moving a hand under my chin and he pulled my face up to his looking like he was about to scold me for something but stopped his breath hitching as he stars at me our faces close to each other.

My mind went blank as I stared into his eyes and I felt myself lean forward he leaned forward as well his lips softly brushed mine before he pulled back quickly. "Sorry" he said with an apologetic smile and I couldn't help but feel rejected and sad but I put on a fake smile causing him to frown. "I want to kiss you" he said suddenly and I blinked "then why?" he smiled at me "I didn't want to make you uncomfortable after all I've only known you for a week Cassie." He titled his head and I couldn't help it I laughed trying to stifle it as the order was called and he got up to grab the bag from the counter bringing it back to to the table and handing me mine.

"I wouldn't mind." I mumbled under breath and took a bite of my burger I looked up at Nyx and he was frozen his eyes had darkened again as he stared at

Me and looked like he was struggling with something and then bit into his burger. we ate in silence and when we finished I bit my lip again causing him to sigh. "if you keep doing that I really will kiss you." he warned staring At me intently and I smiled teasingly at him. "maybe I want you to."

He smiled and stood holding his hand out to me and I took it he pulled me up from my seat and we headed outside.

"Hey Nyx is that you?" a male voice said from outside I turned to see a man detach himself from a girls face and walk over his eyes immediately locked onto me and a creepy smile lit up his face Nyx moved so he was standing in front of me blocking the guys view from me and mine of his.

"Kyle." Nyx acknowledged and I heard Kyle laugh "it's been awhile Nyx we haven't seen each other since our parents decided In that whole all out war thing." Kyle said and I frowned all out war?

"Yes for good reason to kyle, now if you'll excuse us." he said with a deadly tone in his voice pulling me along to his mustang and hurriedly opening my door. I slid inside and he closed it saying a couple more things to Kyle "she is cute" Kyle said and Nyx said something I couldn't hear that caused Kyle to raise his hands in alarm and look at me in surprise.

Nyx slid into the car and turned to me with a smile "I'll take you home now princess." and I smiled back at him as he started the car and took me home. I stared out the window and listen to the music that filled the car and I felt nyx's hand brush mine I looked over at him meeting his green gaze and then our hands opening mine and letting him slide his fingers between mine causing the feeling to rush through me again I blushed and resisted the urge to kiss him looking out the window once more.

He pulled into my driveway and helped me out of the car like he always did and I smiled at him as he walked me up to the door his gaze kept flicking around the small cabin and I squeezed his hand drawing his attention to me again his eyes softening. "princess..." he said softly releasing my hand from his and raising his now free hand to cup my cheek. I nodded and that's all he needed as he leaned down and presses his lips gently to mine, sparks exploded through my body and it felt like nothin I had experienced before I brought my hand to his neck and let my fingers tangle into his hair pulling him closer and he groaned in response deepening The kiss.

He pulled away slightly resting his forehead on mine and he smiled as we both tried to regain our breath. we stared at each other for a long time before he pulled back fully a weird spark in his eyes as he looked at me I bit my lip and he chuckled. "I have to go princess I will see you tomorrow" he smiled and I nodded releasing him completely feeling cold and empty as he stepped away heading towards his car he slid in and with one last smile pulled away from the house.
