I shook my head "it's okay I guess." I rolled my eyes and he grinned looking up at the door as the teacher walked in. I turned back to the front if the room and tried to pay attention to class but i couldn't help being overly aware that Nyx was behind me and i could feel his eyes on my back.

"Are you sure this is ok?" I asked eyeing my reflection in the mirror. I had on a small back dress that went down to the middle of my thighs and boots that I could only describe as hooker boots, with a black choker and silver earrings. Lexi had thrown the outfit at me after I had tried to get away with jeans and a hoodie, I should've known it wouldn't work. "yes are you kidding you look so hot!" I rolled my eyes tugging my dress down "I look like a hooker." she chuckled "a high end hooker." I groaned and she pushes me into a chair she had decided she would do my hair and make up.

I sat in my chair trying not to wiggle around as she did my makeup. "Okay your done." she announced stepping back and I opened my eyes hesitating before looking into the mirror my eyes widened at what I saw. My gray eyes stood out with the make up she had applied my light brown hair cascaded down my back and around my shoulders in an elegant way I looked confident and beautiful I had to admit. Lexi was amazing.

"Wow thank you lexi." she nodded and stood she was already in a red dress shorter than mine with black stiletto heels and a lot of extra accessories. "isn't this just a high school party?" I asked as I waited for her to grab her purse. she pursed her lips with a innocent look on her face "well... not exactly?" she said and I narrowed my eyes at her she giggled and pulled me to her "it's more of a high end social do or die kinda party." I sighed and followed Lexi down the stairs. we hit the bottom and my grandma looked up at us.

"Well don't you two look smoking." she said and Lexi laughed holding out her hand. "i'm Lexi you must be Cassie's grandma?" my grandma nodded and shook her hand "nice to meet you honey. you two go have fun all right? but no drinking." she narrowed her eyes and Lexi laughed "don't worry I'll watch her." she said opening the door and I rolled my eyes

I laughed as she walked over to join me.

I said to Nyx and he winked closing the door once I was safely inside. he slid into the driver seat and turned on the car we sat in silence for awhile but it wasn't long before we reached the house and Lexi jumped into some rules.

"Don't drink like your grams said and if you do don't accept drinks from guys get your own unless it's my brother or someone I know because then you'll be totally safe." she said with a serious expression and I smiled. Nyx coughed and we both looked up. "actually I won't be coming this time." he said looking back at us he slid out and opened out door taking my hand and helping me out. "why?" I thanked Nyx again and headed toward the door but he grabbed my arm and pulled so I would face him. "be careful princess." concern filled his eyes and worry laced his tone as he said it and I smiled "I will" he nodded taking a deep breath and glaring over my shoulder at something I turned to see a guy look down at his feet. I turned back to Nyx who seemed to be debating if he should let me go or not. The weird feeling filled me again and I had the urge to hug and kiss him to reassure him that everything would be okay he looked into my eyes and smiled leaning forward and kissing my cheek sending warm tingles to explored through my body and my face heated with embarrassment.

He let go of my arm and slid into his car starting it up and waving to me before taking off I took a deep breath and headed inside the house.
