My grandmother stood in front of the door her arms crossed and her blue eyes glaring at Nyx's hand that was wrapped around my waist. I shifted nervous as my grandma glared down my 6'3 ... mate? boyfriend? I blushed at the thought I knew we were mates but he's never asked me out but I guess that's more of a human thing then a werewolf thing after all and being his mate seemed to fit so much better. My grandma reminded me so much of my dad as she scanned his eyes for any sign of weakness but Nyx just smiled kindly back.

"Hello ma'am." he said and I couldn't help but smile.

"Is this your boyfriend?" my grandma finally asked a smile on her face and her eyes shining with an obvious 'I approve'. I opened my mouth to speak only to close it again as I didn't really know how to answer that Nyx looked down at me curiously opening his mouth to say something when Lexi flew out of the car and up to my grandma pulling her into a hug.

"Awwwh still as adorable as ever~" she squealed and my grandma huffed hugging Lexi back and wiggling from her grip. rolling my eyes I went to grab my bad but Nyx beat me to it winking as he pulled me forward and into the house Lexi was fussing over my grandmother who looked pleased and also looked confused as Lexi shot millions of questions out all garbled into one sentence.

Nyx led me up the stairs and into my room closing the door softly behind me. "how did you know this is my room?" I asked and he smiled "your scent is strongest here." and I laughed rolling my eyes and sitting in the edge of my bed. Nyx coughed and I looked up to see his green eyes filled with confusion and a bit of hurt.

"Why did you hesitate when your grandmother asked you if I was your boyfriend?" He asked and I blushed looking at my hands.

"Well you never asked and I wasn't sure if that was really the right thing t-" I broke off as Nyx presses his lips to mine he nipped my lip and I giggled as he moved from my lips to my neck kissing me softly and I felt him smile against my neck. "princess... Would you please be my girlfriend?" he said it with a teasing tone and I rolled my eyes but I answered anyway "of course."

He pulled back and smiled leaning forward to kiss me again when his phone went off making me jump and he chuckled pulling out his phone.

"Yes?" he said standing up quickly he moved to the window growling his hand clenching the phone so tight his knuckles were white. "I understand." he said and then the phone snapped in half he turned around to me and grabbed my hand pulling me to his chest.

"What is it?" I asked with a quiet voice I had seen him angry before but never this angry.

"It's Rachel she got away and she's been spotted with the rogues."
