School

I stood awkwardly in the office shifting my weight to my other foot and back as she typed into her computer like there was no tomorrow.the sound of the printer going off had me sigh in relief. "Here is your schedule. " She said thrusting a piece of paper into my hands and glaring at me with an obvious message of 'get out of my office. '

"Well she was friendly." I mumbled under my breath looking at my schedule as I left the room.
"Really mrs. Fox nice?" a deep voice said beside me and I jumped turning to see bright green eyes, the boy from the airport. he smiled and held out his hand "my name is Nyx." he smiled and chuckled "after the Greek god of night."

"Cassie." I took his hand and shook it then pulled away returning to my schedule." Nyx pulled the paper from me reading the paper with slight irritation as he went down the list. "I have a couple classes with you, first and third... Then it looks like fourth and sixth as well." He handed me back my schedule and smiled "I'll take you to your classes you'll need a guide after all."

"Thank you" I smiled and followed him to my first period class. It was an older teacher who looked extremely bored but he was teaching history so who could really blame him? He looked at me and I could tell he was making a decision about me already. Nyx glared at the teacher and the teacher looked away with a frown writing something on the board after taking the sheet of paper is needed to give him.

I groaned as I left the class room mr.taxin was a lecturer and that never went well with history.
"I'll walk you to your next class" Nyx said and I opened my mouth to respond when I felt an arm loop through mine and a girl smiled at my side.

"No need it's on the opposite side of your class. I will take her no worries." she said with a smile and Nyx looked at her with irritation but agreed stalking off to his next class and the girl pulled me along. "don't hang out with Nyx." she said stopping and turning to me with a frown on her face.

"What? why." I asked crossing my arms and she frowned "because he is bad news duh! yes he's totally hot I get it.. Well I don't really he's just a big doofus to me but I've had many girls say he's hot, but seriously he is a gets what he wants and leaves kinda guy I'm just warning you before you end up getting hurt." she smiled and I could tell she wasn't lying but I shook my head anyway. "noted but I won't stop hanging out with him because of what someone else tells me I don't believe in the bad things other say I learn and witness for myself before I judge." she smiled and put her arm through mine again. "I knew I liked you my names Lexi." she said with a big smile "and that doofus Nyx is my brother." she said with a laugh.

The rest of my day went pretty well Lexi had set next to me at lunch and Nyx with a scowl on his face sat on my other side, it wasn't long before more people filled the table and I came to a horrible realization that this was the popular table. I glanced around and green eyes met mine Nyx smiled knowingly at me and I felt something deep down inside of me I looked down away from his green eyes at my food. What was that?
