I woke up in the bed and blinked the sleep from my eyes I was aware of strong arms draped over my side, I turned over to face him and sucked in a breath of surprise as I Met his green eyes they were full of sadness.

"Rachel?" I asked quietly and he closed his eyes "she's being taken care of." he whispered back and I moved closer to him tucking my head under his chin his arms tightened around me not bothering to think about what that meant.

I woke up to a loud crash sitting up in my bed to realize that I was alone my eyes stung in the morning light and I groaned slipping out of my room "nyx?" i mumbled rubbing my stinging eyes as I opened the door and headed downstairs. Another crash and a growl from outside, I flung open the door and stepped out on the porch to see Lexi holding a cup of coffee smiling as two giant wolves wrestled each other and my hear skipped as I recognized Nyx as one of them.

"Hey Cassie." Lexi turned to me with a smile and I eyed the wolf play fighting with Nyx. "is that leon?" I asked and she blinked in surprise "yeah how did you know?" I smiled "he's almost as big as Nyx is so I figured he must be the second in charge." She laughed and gave me a look "want to see my wolf?" she said and I nodded she took my hand and led me into the field Nyx growled and rolled him and Leon away from us and I rolled my eyes afraid I'll get trampled?

She let go of my arm and I stayed put as she walked a bit away and much to my embarrassment stripped out of her clothes ignoring the wolf whistles from Tison who stood on the porch watching the fight. Lexi rolled her eyes and raised her hand flipping him off before lurching forward I watched as fur expanded from her and a white wolf stood before me the complete opposite of Nyx.

Lexi bounded up to me she was pretty big but not as big as Nyx was. I had gotten over my fear but I still looked at her in awe. she hunkered down next to me and motioned to her back

"You want me to ride you?" I asked shocked and she barked I eyed her suspiciously stepping back "oh no I don't think so" I said drawing out the oh. She rolled her hazel eyes and reached around picking me up by my jacket carefully with her mouth as I yelped in surprise and she dropped me onto her back which caused me to immediately grab onto her. she stood up and bounced around past Nyx who growled slightly and began to trail behind us fight forgotten.

Lexi skidded to a halt and Nyx loomed over her and with a huff she laid down on her stomach helping me off her back . I sat down as soon as my feet hit the ground and I laughed Lexi smiled and I could see the smug smile she always gave Nyx as she stood and bounded back to the house.

Nyx turned to follow her pausing and Looking back at me and I stood jogging up to him and following beside him as we went back to the house. we would be heading back home tomorrow we had been here for almost four days now i thought as I nibbled on some bread the guys were sprawled out in the couch playing something on the play station while me and Lexi sat on the porch eating our bread in silence we heard laughing from inside the house and I sighed I didn't want to leave the house yet but I knew I had to get home and back to school. so I went up to nyx's and my room and started to pack up my things
