dear fay,

i'm still here. i almost... i almost...

i lost it, fay...

but i'm still here. and i'm on a bus. i just paid a bus fare to come see you at the hospital. the bus is halfway there.

fay, i'm going to see you. i'm going to see you.

i have my backpack and my clothes, that's it. and soon i'll have you, too. i'll at least get to see your face.

goodnight, fay. i'm taking a nap now.

...

the bus just arrived. i'm sitting on the bench at the bus stop. i just noticed there is a telephone wire above my head, and there is a chunk of wood with the wire literally going through it. i don't know why i wrote to you about it, it just intrigued me.

the hospital you are in is up on top of the hill across town.

you're in that building, fay. i'm so close. i'm about to walk up that hill.

i wonder what room you're in...will you see me walking up the path as you look out the window? or are you on the opposite side of the building, with windows facing the ocean?

i'm about to find out.
