fay, your eyelids just fluttered. i know i wrote in the last letter that i'd be putting this stuff away but i feel like this has to be documented.

just after i finished the last letter, you mumbled something in your sleep.

i decided to start a new letter because writing a "p.s." would've been lame. but what do i know, these letters are all probably pretty lame, huh?

your parents haven't returned yet, and i feel selfish for saying it, but i don't want them to just yet. i wanna be the first face you see when you wake up.

to waste this time away until you wake up, let's see, i'll write down another memory.

oh, i remember when you called me up one day in july and begged me to meet you at burger king.

when i got there you were tapping your foot impatiently as i slowly got out of my car.

"sooo..why are we here?" i'd asked, because about a week before the burger-king-burger-eating-challenge-day we were at the beach when you told me you hated fast food restaurants.

instead of answering my question, you simply opened the door.

wordlessly, we stepped inside and i watched you order twenty hamburgers. (not those mini sliders, either, the full-size ones).

you paid for them, a serious amount of cash, almost one hundred dollars, and then sat down at a table waiting for them to be done.

"did you really just spend almost one hundred dollars on fast food? i thought you hated it!" i said to you with shock.

you tucked a piece of your strawberry blonde hair behind your ear and grinned at me. "i just got my monthly allowance, i was bored, sooo we are gonna have ourselves a burger eating contest! and you were obviously the first person i could think of because everyone else i know would call me a pig for scarfing down these burgers."

"hey, i'd totally call you a pig! in fact, you are such a pig! a really big pig! a burger-king-burger-loving pig!" i retorted, though I sounded like a whiny child who didn't mean it--which is probably why you laughed.

we finally got the burgers and sat down with them.

"ready?" you asked me as we both unwrapped our first burgers.

"pig," i muttered before taking my first bite.

oh, that was an absolutely amazing day. i can't believe you beat me 11 to 9.

you pig.

okay, forget the pig story. your eyes are seriously fluttering now, i gotta go.

you're waking up.
