One second Lance is walking in the hallway, and the next He's being dragged instead. Lance looks up and Is met with cold gray- blue eyes that send shivers down his spine. That same person grabs Lance by his shirts collar and throws a punch. At this point the person in front of Lance and his entourage had scared away any students that attempted to help McCLain, and the teachers were too busy in their classrooms to pay any mind to what was happening in the halls.

Lance is thrown to the floor once again, taking the short amount of time he has to wipe away the blood coming from his nose and mouth. "Look at him, he's so weak he can't even fight back." Someone says from behind him. Lance doesn't need to look at the student to know that it was some guy that called himself Lotor. Who knows if that was his real name- but at that point in time Lance didn't think anyone really cared. The person who had grabbed him before, does it again, but this time he him throws into a locker. "Nice one- maybe this will teach McLain not to run into us in the halls.. Keith." Another one of the students say, they cross their arms and await for Keith to respond with some snarky comment to go along with their own. Lance looks at Keith and gives him an apologetic expression; hoping he ignores his fellow delinquents and lets him go instead. But that wasn't the case at all, because what was going through Keith's mind at the time was far from what anyone thought.

It had only been Keith and his mom for a few years now. The last time Keith saw his dad was when he threw him against the wall, complaining that Keith was the reason his day was so shitty. Though the ten year old was too stunned to say anything he pushed his dad away, running towards his mother who stood shocked in the door way. A fight broke out, it lasted for hours. Keith was sent to his room, but even through the door he could hear the loud yelling coming from his parents. The next morning when Keith woke up, his father and all of his belongings were gone. All that was left was his mother, who hugged Keith tightly the minute he stepped out of his room. That day he promised to never be like his father, to never take out his anger on someone who couldn't fight back.

Keith looks at Lance and he slowly lets go of his collar, feeling as though the promise he made himself was slowly drowning in the thoughts that swam in his head. The student who called himself Lotor was taken aback by Keith's sudden action. "What the fuck Keith-" he scoffs and before Lance can run for it he kicks him to the ground, telling Keith to finish the job. Lance gulps, clenching his fists- readying himself for the final blow. Keith looks at his bruised knuckle, but before he can punch Lance one more time- just to get the last bit of anger out, someone grabs his arm.

Lance looks up at the Senior who held Keith's arm back, his facial expression a mess of anger and sorrow. "Keith you told me you wouldn't pick any more damn fights, and now I see you beating up Lance to the point that he can't even get up." Keith rips his arm away from Shiro's grasp, ready to use it to punch him instead. "He ran into us in the hall what else were we going to do-" Keith tries to say, but Shiro intervenes by walking past him to help Lance stand. "You two were best friends in Middle school, we all were- but you let the rumors and lies get to you Keith. It reminds me of someone you and I used to know." Shiro turns his head and walks down the hall with the limping Lance at his side.

Keith tightens his fists, directing that last punch at the wall. He sighs, remembering that it was not only Keith's father- but also Shiro's. Though they were only step brothers, when their father left they had grown even closer together then before. Keith supposed it was a good thing, someone good like Shiro to keep him in line, but that didn't help him. In fact, seeing Shiro hanging out with Lance made him even angrier. Jealous even. As Lance and Shiro had disappeared from the hall, Keith and his group decided to ditch the rest of the day; none of them making a sound.
