{This is based off of the song, Epilogue: Young Forever}

Allura's Point of View.

I pull my legs close to my chest, leaning against one of my friends back to back. I wipe away the sweat from my forehead, brushing away my slightly wet hair as I do.

Lance usually had good ideas, but this wasn't one of them. Going to an abandoned plane runway- for a sunset? He's clearly bonkers. But in the end, I just followed where everyone else went. Which was here.

That was my first mistake.

My second mistake was leaving the house without checking the temperature.

"It's so hot," I sigh. The person next to me grumbling in response. "Allura, it's not that bad. Besides, it'll be sunset soon. I heard that it's beautiful when up close like this." I look up at the friend who's standing with a large smile on his face. "This was a terrible idea. Besides Lance, we can always watch the sunset on a different day. Maybe when it's colder out." My lips curl into a small smile, as I wipe away the continuous sweat beading down my forehead. "You have no sense of fun anymore."

I scoff.

But not in a way to be arrogant. I just didn't want anyone to see the sad look in my eyes. The look that causes me to glance away from a mirror if I ever happened to stare too long into my own light blue orbs.

"Allura has a point, it feels like I'm melting."

The person who I had been sitting back to back with says with her tired tone. I feel her shift, moving into a different position; probably to get more shade from the sun. "This damn sunset needs to happen soon."

I hear someone laugh lightheartedly, and almost right away I can tell that it's Hunk.

The only one who still laughs like nothing bad ever happened.

As if we never lost one of our own.

"I'm telling you all, the sunset will be worth it! Just another hour or so, and you'll all see that I'm right." Lance's large smile on his face shows that he's full of excitement.

But I can see that it's just a mask.

Keith's Point of View.

The only thing I hear from the argument going on in front of me is Hunk's loud laughter. And I can't help but smile at the sense of happiness in Lance's voice; because it makes me happy just to hear it.

It's been so long since any of us have heard it.

"I think we should stay for the sunset. Lance seems like he really wants us to see it." I say, hoping that someone hears me over the bickering. Lance does, and because of that he sends me a small, but truthful smile.

As if he's saying thank you to me.

I place my hands in my pockets, taking a moment to turn away from the fighting; to stare up at the bright sun which is finally beginning to set.

When I look back down, it's as if metal fences surround us; cutting all of the make believe red strings that once connected us before the accident.
