Six in the morning.
Lance wakes up with his alarm blaring his favorite song into his ear, because he thought waking up to a continuous beeping every morning would drive him crazy. Today was the day he'd go around his new apartment building and say hello to his new neighbors; even possibly make a few more friends.
The brunette gets out of bed, and walks straight for the bathroom. If his day was going to go as planned in his head, he needed to look presentable.
A new friend.
For the past ten years that's all hes really wanted, because he's human.
"Step one, wear nice clothes. Look presentable." Lance says to himself, filling up the silence of his almost empty apartment with his rambling. He brushes a comb through his hair, looking in the mirror with a charming smile as he does so.
"Step two, wear some nice clothes." As Lance continues to read out his list that he's engraved into his mind, he doesn't even notice the doorbell ringing. It was around seven in the morning now, since the brunette always spent too much time getting ready. He always thought his hair was his best feature, so why not use that as his friend making advantage?
After a few minutes, the ringing of the doorbell stops--as Lance pulls a blue t-shirt over his head. The front door opens, and this time, Lance notices. He turns around, expecting a serial killer, but thankfully that wasnt the case.
Instead, it was his good friend Takashi Shirogane.
"Shiro, wassup bro." Lance says with an accent that almost makes Shiro die of laughter, it was a mixture of surfer boy and New Yorker, Shiro's favorite accents. "Brooo~" Shiro coos, in the same accent of course. The two soon pull each other into a hug, and step away a few seconds later. "It's weird seeing this place so empty." The taller male sighs, as Lance does the same; the two of them almost in unison. "I know what you're saying, but the new apartment is much better. Believe me." The brunette confirms, Shiro giving him a smile after. "Okay I trust your opinion." And Lance smiles as well.
"Anyways, I came here to tell you that I've decided to help you make friends today."
And Lance grows a little quieter. "You could've texted me, it's a mess here. And I'm a mess." It takes Shiro by surprise, to see the much more seriousness side of Lance just barely peek through his usual happy exterior. "You little nervous--" "Don't call me bitch, you bitch." Lance intervenes, getting him a nice pinch of the cheek from the black haired male in front of him. "You're an asshole. You know that, right?" And Shiro nods, right before giving Lance a kiss on the cheek.

Lance stands in front of Keith, frozen in place due to the overwhelming nostalgia that seems to be drowning him and his broken heart.
Sure he had a boyfriend, but he never had friends.
"Hello."
Lance says quietly, his voice unfamiliar to the person in front of him. "Its been a while, but you look the same. I mean--you look the same, in a good way." Lance's speech is awkward, and full of stutters; but by the look on the star struck Keith; Lance decides that he doesn't care about his speech. "Ten years," the brunette mumbles, his eyes traveling to the flower in the smaller males hands. "Is that for me? A little late..don't you think?" He jokes, but Keith remains silent.
