Lost in the Hunter world

Third stage part 1

Third person pov

The airship soon arrived, landing on a tall beige structure that stood in a isolated area, surrounded by a dense forest. Naruko stepped off the gangplank with a look of pure wonder engraved on her face. 

"Where are we tebayo?" She questioned herself aloud, scanning the trees that looked like specks from on top of the building.

"It's so," Gon started, hesitating while trying to find the right word to describe the scenery. 

"Empty." Killua finished with his hands buried in his pockets. Naruko couldn't help but nod in agreement, although the forest looked slightly like the one outside of her village. A cough was heard from the front of the crowd, drawing everyone's attention to the strange green alienated creature. 

"Everyone, the third phase of the exam will start here." It said with a small smile on its face that almost looked human. "This tower is called trick tower. To pass the next exam you will have to reach the bottom of it. Alive of course." It said while letting out a soft giggle with wide eyes. Naruko raised her eyebrows at the strange creature, trying to refrain herself from sprouting any 'unnecessary comments'. "The time limit is seventy two hours. With that we will begin the third phase! I wish you all the best of luck!" The blob said before disappearing into the airship .

 Unnoticed by everyone a figure watched the applicants on a screen, letting out amused chuckles while munching on a cracker. "Guess it's my term." The figure said as his glasses gleamed, promising endless amounts of struggles for the contestants. 

The airship drifted off, leaving everyone to ponder how they would reach the bottom. "Are we suppose to climb down?" Leorio questioned as his legs quivered while he peered over the edge. 

"That would probably be suicide." Killua stated blankly as if dying had no impact on him. 

"Maybe for you guys." A smug voice said from behind them as they turned around to see a man with the tag number 86 pinned to his shirt. "I'm a top class rock climber. This is piece of cake for me." He said as he lowered himself over the edge, grabbing on tightly to holes in the building. It crumbled slightly as Naruko grew wary. She couldn't help but have a bad feeling about this. The man continued down the building at an impressive speed, allowing Naruko to let out a sigh of relief. 

"I'm going to follow him." She stated as she channelled chakra into her feet, silently thanking Kakashi for teaching her this skill. She was about to step over the edge before a hand pulled her roughly back. 

"Are you crazy?" Killua demanded with his eyes narrowed. Naruko shoved his hand off of her as she gave him a smirk. 

"You'll see." She said before she stepped off the building, her body disappearing over the edge. They all rushed over frantically, only to see her standing at a ninety degree angle, her feet planted firmly onto the side of the building. Gon let out a small gasp as they all looked at the girl in shock. 

"How?" Kurapika whispered as Naruko turned her head and gave him a wink. 

"Chakra." She said simply as the rest of them nodded in understanding. 

"Not fair." Gon whined as she could only laugh before continuing her journey down. She could see the man below her as she ran to catch up with him. Just as she was about to surprise him she heard a loud squawk to her right. She turned her head slightly to come face to face with a bird like creature with deadly fangs just inches from her head. She pressed herself against the wall, adrenaline coursing through her veins. The bird missed her by just a couple of centimetres as she let out a sigh of relief. She looked back down to check on the man only to see that he disappeared.
