Chapter 12: Death To Mendes

"Shawn! Stop tickling me." My scream covered by my laughter as Shawn continued to tickle me. About 3 minutes later Shawn was no longer tickling me, and I was breathing normally once more I glared at him as he rolls around on the floor of the hotel room laughing like a maniac. The door bursts open and in walk the Jacks, Cameron, Nash, Matt, and Carter. They stop to see me on the bed glaring at Shawn who's still laughing.

"What just happened?" Cameron asked curiously looking at Shawn who's finally decided to collect himself off of the floor taking deep breaths he manages to stop laughing. I just shook my head at him and plopped down on the bed. Looking up at the ceiling I drown out their voices, not wanting to hear their intimate conversation about video ideas. I though about how it all started for them, after all they do owe all their success to an app.

*Flashback*

"Shawn? Hello?!" I could hear the strumming of faint guitar strings and the angelic voice that came after it. I begin my decent up the stairs, following his voice, I reach his door to his room which was ajar, kicking it open gently I see Shawn recording a video on his phone. he sings for six seconds then stops looking at the video after words.

"Shawn, what are you doing?" I cock my head to the side letting go of the door handle I walk further into the room. He turned around and smiled at me, he looked weird without his braces, now his perfectly straight teeth gleaming in the dim light of the room making me want to stab myself with a pencil for being blinded by his teeth. How did I even get onto this topic? I swear this boy is making me go crazy.

"Issy great your here, I wanna show you something." Shawn grabbed my arm and yanked me towards him with a great amount of force making me pull my arm back in surprise, damn when did this boy get so strong I think I almost lost my arm.

"Hey incredible Hulk I kinda need my arm you know." He rolled his eyes and yanked me back over towards him, taking out his phone he opens up and app, showing me all these 6 second videos of him playing the guitar and singing and stuff like that.

"This is an app called Vine,"

"Okay and I should care why?"

"Because look at how many followers I have on this, people really like my singing. I was even invited to go on a Meet and Greet tour called Magcon so I can meet all my fans and perform there." I looked at him in shock all this came from an app?

"When are you going?" Shawn looked down, at his feet.

"I leave at 3." I nod a bit hurt but i quickly perk up after that.

"Oh well that's okay its like for a few weeks right?" He shook his head refusing to make eye contact with me.

"I am going to be gone all summer." That was the first summer I spent without Shawn, I didn't like that this thing was taking away my best friend. That next summer I went with Shawn for the first time, I instantly fell in love with all the guys and the fans and the concept of Magcon. At first glance you would think oh yeah they all just get along for the sake of Magcon but after that day i truly saw that Magcon was not just an event that they were a family, and I was apart of it.

*End Of Flashback*

"Isabelle!" I jolt up my heart hammering, my reaction must have been award winning because the 6 boys present all burst out laughing.

"Ha ha yeah real funny guys." I say clutching my chest they all continue to laugh. I stood up my hands on my hips glaring the boys begin to point at Shawn who at this point looked like a deer caught in headlights. Without thinking I chase after Shawn, who runs for his life through the different hotel rooms, passing boys who attempt to stop me. I was finally caught by Jack G.

"Jack let me go this is like you stealing my coffee I'm going to kill that boy there will be a death to Mendes!!" I scream and kick at the boys who are attempting to hold me down. Which overall included Cameron, Jack G, Jack J, and Aaron. Honestly I am not really sure why Aaron is holding me down but I guess he can calm me down but I doubt it. I was on a rampage and no one was going to stop me. I wiggled and kicked at the boys but no such luck until Aaron lost his grip and dropped me making the other boys fall as well I was finally out of their grips giving me the chance to ran after Shawn which is what I did I ran and jumped on his back making him spin around trying to get me off of his back.
"Issy! Get off!!" I shook my head, laughing a bit as he continued to try and get me off of him.

"Never!" Shawn spun around making me, fall forwards towards the front of him with one swift movement I was in his arms. His arms were hung around my waist while mine were around his neck. Our noses were just inches apart, after that night in his hotel room we weren't able to really be alone between Magcon, the boys dragging him away for guy time and Mahogany and Skylar dragging me away for girl time, we haven't been able to be alone. When we did get the chance we were always interrupted one way or another, weather someone barged in on us or we got a text or call there was always an obstacle.

"Issy..." He was cut off by the sound of his name being called, along with mine.

"Belle, Shawn come back in here Bart wants to have a meeting before we head off tomorrow." I unwrapped myself from Shawn sending him a small smile before walking back to the room, him following close behind.

"Great to see you've finally decided to join us have a seat." A overly sarcastic Matthew said to me, which in return he received a quick jab in the ribs by yours truly.

The meeting went on for what felt like hours, a sudden text drew my attention away from Bart and into the message I had just received.

New Message:
From: Muffin Boy

Hey meet me on the hotel roof top at 8 we need to talk.

~Shawn <3

I send back a small reply and shut my phone off looking at Shawn from across the room I smile to myself.

8 o'clock rolled around and everyone was near sleeping, and yes I know what your thinking the boys are asleep at 8?! Well yes because I threatened there man hood a few times to get my point across, anyways I quietly exited the room and made my way to the elevator pressing the button to the top floor I waited.

A few minutes later I was standing on top of the roof with Shawn looking out at Houston the lights seemed to make the place feel more alive.

"Shawn what are we?" I must have caught him off guard because, his reaction was heart crushing.

"Isabelle, you are my best friend and I love you all I want is for you to be happy and I don't think I can make you happy." My heart ached, as I looked down at the ground not able to look him in the eye.

"But you know what screw that I love you and I want to be with you, I'm so sick and tired of being selfless, I'm going to be selfish for once." I look back up at him to see his eyes glued to mine.

"What are you saying." I ask unable to peal my blue eyes away from his light brown ones.

"I'm going to take you on a date the next stop we get to just me and you no boys no girls just us. Then maybe after that we can move on from there." I couldn't help myself I pulled him in for a bone crushing hug not wanting to let go ever, I leaned up in his ear a smile on my face.

"I would love that."
