Chapter 21: Long Ways From Safety

It's been months since I had seen Seth, yet I could still feel the presence of someone watching me.  

Was I crazy?

Maybe I was, but that wasn't going to stop the feeling, like I was being watched. The week we brought Autumn and Ryan to the Magcon Beach House, was filled with all sorts of surprises. Shawn and I finally told everyone that we were together. The reactions were well some were happy and shocked but one person had a reaction I wasn't at all  what I had expected, it also really confused me.

This evening was weirder than usual I kept on thinking that someone was watching me and Autumn, whom I had gotten to know well over the past few weeks. She is awesome and such an amazing girl. It was great to get to know her over the past week. Walking through the park we started to talk once more taking me out of my mind of confusion.

"Isabelle, do you think that we are friends now?" Autumn's question took me off guard. At first I couldn't answer her question, then clearing my throat I spoke.

"Yes, of course we are why would you think otherwise?" 

"I don't know, it's great though having a friend for once especially someone who understands what it's like to have been in an abusive relationship, who has had to suffer with it and someone who knows what it's like to want to end it all because you feel so unwanted." I started to tear up, hugging Autumn I smile through my on coming tears threatening to fall.

"Of course, now lets get back to the house the guys are all probably wondering where we are." Autumn nodded and we began to walk out of the park, it was getting dark and the feeling of being watched was getting to me. suddenly a branch snapped behind us, making the panic set in. I grabbed Autumn's hand and I started to run.

We reached the house in a matter of minutes closing and locking the door behind us Autumn looked at me curiously a bit of terror evident in her eyes as we breathed heavily trying to calm down our beating hearts. 

"What was that?" Autumn asked breathlessly. I could only shake my head her way, attempting to calm down.

"I don't know but I think we need to be careful, someone may be watching us." Autumn nodded, after calming down we walk to the kitchen joining the others. Everyone was having a fun time laughing and chatting, the whole scene was amazing, it made all of my terror go away. filling my heart with joy, walking over to Shawn I hug his side leaning into him a smile tugging his lips as he leaned down to whisper in my ear.

"You okay?" I nodded in a reply.

"Never better" The rest of that night was filled with fun and laughter the entire thought of being watched was pushed to the back of my mind, just trying to enjoy being with my friends, my family, and all the people I love nothing could be better than this.

Finally it was time to go to sleep, climbing up to my room I shut my door putting on a Magcon hoodie and comfortable sweat pants I climb into be and close my eyes. I woken up by the sound of someone moving around in my room sitting up I struggle to see who is lurking in the shadows my room was illuminated by the moon shinning in through my now open balcony window the curtains blowing softly in the wind, terror filled my heart.

"Hello?" I called out, which was a mistake everything happened so fast, the boy was all dressed in black, from what I saw he was Cameron's height, he jumped towards me grabbing me he tugged me towards my balcony. 

Screaming I attempt to try and fight him off, but with no luck he grabs a cloth out of his back pocket, before he even put it on my face he dragged me towards the balcony once more, then the door bursts open and in storms Shawn taking one look into his eyes the boy puts the cloth over my mouth. I suddenly began to feel very drowsy before my entire world fell into darkness the last think I remember seeing was Shawn rushing towards me then everything went black.

*Shawn's Point Of View*

I heard a loud scream, ringing through the house along with the sound of things breaking jumping out of bed I rush towards the sound of the scream which lead me to Isabelle's room, panic began to set in as I threw the door open there she was being dragged towards her balcony being held. Back, before I had time to react he put a cloth over her mouth, her eyes widened in terror before she started to relax her eyes barely able to stay open until she had completely passed out. 

Rage ran through my blood stream as I ran towards the guy, he roughly dropped Isabelle onto the ground hitting me in the face, I started to fight back kicking him in the side he hunched over for a second before throwing me through the wall not before punching me a few more times. by the time I got up the room was full of light coming from the sun. The air filled with dust but Isabelle's room was empty he had taken her. Rushing out of the room I slam the door to the bathroom placing my hands on the sink I look in the mirror my face was puffy and bloody i had a bruise and cuts on my forehead, a cut by my eye, and blood coming from my nose streaking down over my lip and my chin.

My heart and chest felt heavy, like my world was crashing down around me and I could do nothing but watch it happen, Isabelle was gone the love of my life taken from me, and I was unable to help her. I cried my heart breaking as I sobbed harder and harder realizing what  had happened what I had failed to do.

She was gone again but this time I wasn't able to save her.
