Chapter 14: Challenges

We all go through challenges, each one of us has ups and downs but depending on the people you have by your side, depends on how those ups and downs affect your mind.

On one had you have the people like Cameron who are funny, calm, collected, and composed.

Then you have me.

Isabelle Parker, the girl who has a best friend actually a bunch of friends mostly guys who are internet sensations.

Life can get pretty hectic.

But I guess that's just life for you, one big ball of hectic situation after hectic situation.

I've never been the person in a certain situation to be the most collected person in the world. I have faults, I panic, I hurt people, and people hurt me but now I'm more confused then ever.

Shawn Mendes has always been there, he's my best friend and the person I trust most in the whole world.

But I have feelings for him, he knows it I know it and he reciprocates my feelings.

My words to him repeat as if on an impulse:

"Shawn." He turned to look at me. "Can we keep us a secret from the guys for now?"

But that wasn't what was getting me down. It was everything leading up to this point that did it.

• Flashback To 3 Days Ago •

I woke up that day in the hotel room a bright smile on my face. No one had any idea about Me and Shawn, I hadn't even gotten enough courage to tell Mahogany or Skylar, I was happy but scared at the same time.

Magcon was going along as usual, we did shows and meet and greets getting a few days of break before moving on to the next city, I preformed covers of songs as well as a short few I had wrote on my own, I was becoming a genuine part of the Magcon Family and the fans seemed to love it.

I still got haters, but that was expected not everyone can like you and you can't be perfect even though your views as perfect when the hard truth of reality is your not.

Out of the blue I got a phone call from a number I had reached out to ages ago.

The adoption agency.

"Hello?" I spoke clearly to the other person on the line the drowned out music coming from the stage was just barely audible.

"Hello, I'm Jennifer Gallows head of the Toronto Canada Adoption Agency or the TCAA, am I speaking with Ms. Isabelle Parker?" The woman has a cheery voice, I could even notice her fake smile as she talked politely.

"This is Isabelle Parker."

"The information you have requested about your birth parents, well we finally have that." I held my breath for a moment, then Mrs. Gallows told me all the information she had, it left me awestruck.

• End Of Flashback •

Which ultimately leads me back to where I am now, I have the contemplating task of telling the boys the girls about my discovery. One of the boys is going to I hope be thrilled, in learning what I have.

I walk into the lunch area, where everyone was seated. The nerves were starting to set in, if this is how I feel about telling these guys some of my closest friends about my biological family then how am I going to tell them what was going on between Me and Shawn.

"Hey Issy, are you okay you look like your going to be sick." Shawn stood up immediately, after those words uttered out of Jack J's mouth, I gave Shawn a simple glance telling him I was fine and to remain put.

"Well I just wanted to say, that I love you guys." I chickened our, I couldn't let out such information just yet. I would have to wait until break, for Magcon we travel a lot so coming up in a few weeks we will be stopping in Chino Hills California to stay with Cameron at this place he rented out, for us for the next six weeks.

"Is that all?" Mahogany asked with a subtle uncertainty. I nod then walk out of the room as fast as I possibly could, no one followed me.

I had done it I had chickened out, I have just gotten the most important information of my life and yet, I couldn't bring myself to tell anyone. I sat up in my hotel room my head in my hands for what seemed like hours, until a knock on my door sounded. I open the door to see a small note written on a piece of paper gently grabbing it I open it up to see the elegance scribble of a males hand writing on it, looking at the signature at the bottom I already know who it was from.

The note read:

Issy,
Meet me on the hotel roof, in about five minutes.

Don't keep me waiting! :)

I smiled again, walking to the elevator I press the button to the roof and wait listening to the sound of boring music to distract myself from the fact I could die in the elevator.

I made it up to the roof after the terrible ride in the metal death trap people call an elevator, I saw the outline of Shaw's body in the darkness only his body was illuminated in the moon light making the roof top seem majestic.

"I got your note, what did you want me to come up here for?" As if by command Shawn turned at the sound of my voice, almost like there was a switch that someone had turned on inside of him to make the reaction happen.

"I had forgotten to do something, yesterday actually everyday, since the day you said you were in love with me." I could only stare at him my mind bottled up like a ship in a bottle, I know the reference is strange but it's not my fault your inside my head.

It all happened in an instant, Shawn's lips were on mine. I was shocked, and I believe he could tell but as soon as it came it left and I let myself mold into his arms which had at one point been wounded tightly around my waist. Shawn tasted of strawberries and vanilla with a small hint of peppermint, his lips were softer than a kittens coat, with his body heat radiating off of him making mine warm up.

Finally we pulled away "I regretted not doing that." Shawn stated a smile on his face.

My only reply was:

"I love you." Before we entered the kiss once more.

Authors Note:

I'm so sorry I haven't posted in like forever, things have just been all over the place with school and family drama, but I am pleased to say that this story is still up and running, also that this is literally the only social media platform I ever go on constantly.

So be thankful.

Also if none of you have caught on yet, there is a 'secret' connection between Cameron and Isabelle, I absolutely can't wait until you guys figure it out.

I will also be introducing a new character to the story very soon. She along with Skylar are some key components to the story.

So go nuts with the theories.
