Chapter 39: Runaway

I thought it was better to just leave everything behind and Runaway.

"Have you seen Shawn?" I asked him, Cameron pointed to the side of the bathrooms, I smiled at him as I left to go retrieve Shawn.

I reached to bathrooms waiting for a moment, to see if Shawn would walk out after waiting for minutes I decided to look for him, rounding the corner of the brick bathroom building.

I watch the scene unfold in front of me, tears forming in my eyes. There they were kissing, my gasp must have alerted Shawn because he quickly shoved Camila off of him looking at me with wide eyes.

"Isabelle it's not what it looks like. I swear." I cut him of trying to contain my heart wrenching sobs.

"Were done, Shawn. I mean it enjoy your life with Camila i'm sure she'll make you happy." I ran off as Shawn called after me, my heart felt as though it had been broken into a thousand pieces.

We all make mistakes, but some mistakes can not be forgiven.

I reached the house, my face all puffy and red with tears.

I couldn't be here anymore I couldn't be with Shawn, Cameron, Autumn, or Camila.

Taking out my phone I dial the person I knew I could count on, the one person I knew wouldn't try and make me stay here.

"Hello?" I sniffled, a little as I spoke through the phone.

"Skylar, I'm coming  to Omaha, please tell the Jacks not to tell anyone." 

"Of course are you okay Issy?" 

"I'll tell you when I get there." I hung up after words not letting her argue any further. Knowing she'd understand once I got there. 

Hurrying to pack I grabbed my two large suit cases packing all of my things I zipped up my suitcases and put my laptop, chargers, and bathroom things, I carefully placed my camera in the case carrying it on my shoulder as I grabbed my things and nearly ran down stairs. Grabbing a small piece of paper I scribbled down a note to the house.

I hailed a cab and within minutes I was on my way to the airport.

*Shawn's Point Off View*

I was shattered and broken. Seeing Isabelle like that tore me to pieces.

Camila smile putting her hand on my chest, I pushed her off disgusted with her antics that had cost me the love of my life, not to mention my best friend.

"Shawn?! What's up with you? She's gone we can finally be together." I glared at her my rage seemingly all I could feel at the moment.

"That's the problem Camila, she's gone. You did this, I told you a number of times all we are is friends and that was all we would ever be. I lost the love of my life because you are a selfish, whore!" 

"I am not a whore how dare you! I love you Shawn and I know you love me. I did this for us okay for me and you." I scoffed barely able to even face Camila at this moment.

"You did this for yourself." She looked on the verge of tears, but I didn't care about Camila.

"I love you Shawn!" 

"I don't love you Camila." I walked away from her leaving her there to sob by herself. I spotted Cameron and Autumn from across the park running I met up with them.

"We need to get back to the house and fast." I said not giving them any time to argue or fight with me. We all raced to the car, leaving Camila behind Cameron drove faster than the speed limit would have ever allowed. 

"What happened Shawn?" Autumn asked from the backseat. I sighed trying not to scream and rip out my hair at the thought that I may have just lost Isabelle forever.

"Camila happened." Was all I said, we arrived at the house within minutes, Cameron ran up to Isabelle's room to see if she was still there and to get her to come down, Autumn and I waited outside of the car for him to return with Isabelle. Cameron walked out with a sad look on his face, before he said the words I felt my heart shatter.

"She's gone." I fell to my knees and sobbed, my sobs echoed through the street, only once were they masked by the sound of a cab driving away.

Isabelle was gone, she left heart broken and alone, but with her she took my heart. There was now only one thing we could do.

"We have to find her."

*Isabelle's Point Of View*

I watched from a distance, seeing Shawn break down on the side walk made me almost want to run out of the cab and hold him,the image of him and Camila played in my mind again. I nodded to the cab driver to drive away, watching out the back window I let Shawn, Autumn, and Cameron fade away.  

I let the memories of the past year run through my mind, from the hospital to today I realized, that every great thing will turn into something terrible eventually. Out of all my bad days today was the absolute worse.

Omaha would be a new start for me, even though I will be with friends who are antiquated with Shawn as long as he never finds me I will be okay.

One can only hope.

My life was so complicated and full of love and heart break but in the end it made me stronger and hopefully even this heartbreak will only lead me to something greater.

This is the second to last chapter of this book.

I believe I am going to write a second book. But I don't know.

I really hope all of you liked the book, I would like to give out a giant thank you to all of the people who have been reading my book and for my friends who have inspired some of these characters.
