Anxiety/ Virgil POV
I paced around the room waiting for Roman to snap out of his trance. He had been spaced out for far longer than I would have expected. He might even beat my record. Roman wouldn't respond to Patton's pleads. Morality and I were both out of ideas. The only thing either of us could think of was to bring in Logan.
"Can you please go and get Logic?" Patton asked.
"...No" I hesitated.
I couldn't go and get him. It wouldn't be able to help him. Logan was knowledgeable in an array of topics but this wasn't going to one of those ones.
"Why not?" he queried.
I remained silent. I didn't have an answer for him. I lowered my head, avoiding eye contact. I hate answering questions. I sigh before exiting the room. Now, I had to find his boyfriend. I had a feeling I knew where he was, Patton's bedroom. My hand was rested on his door knob. Mortality closed the door behind him before he left. What a strange thing to do unless you were hiding something.
The hallway I stood in felt breazy. That was odd. There were no windows in the hallway. Every inch of the walls had a door on it so there was no room for a window. The doorknob froze over. I retract my arm. Footsteps could be heard from behind me.
I spun around. My eyes flickered about scanning the scene for anyone. It couldn't be Patton. I wasn't taking that long so who was it? A familiar feminine figure appeared from the darkness. He was still dressed like he was when I last saw him. He called out my name well my commonly used name, Anxiety.
He waved at me from a distance. He placed the file on the ground and kicked it over. He feared getting close. Did he fear getting close to me? Was it because of my reputation or was he just bing distance? He did seem timid when I first met him. He put on a character when we hung out. Only know I noticed it.
I reached out to collect the folder from the floor when he backed up. My eyes were locked onto him. From the distance I could tell his eyes were irritated. His posture had changed. Before he walked like the character he was betraying but now he was more himself.
"Have you slept since I asked you for the favour?" I asked.
"No. Once I get given a task I won't stop until it's complete" he stated. "Now that I have done that for you I need to get back to filming."
He needed to get some sleep but he wasn't my priority. I was on a mission. The room seemed to warm up the further Dreamy was from me. Strange. I shook my head and got back on task.
Roman/Princey POV
Darkness engulfed me. My feet were soaking from the water soaked flooring. Leaking water could be heard in the distance. I approached the sound. I felt the air around me. The ground gradually sloped downwards. The water levels were raising.
I wasn't alone. Buzzing could be heard from above me. Whatever was making that noise was massive. It couldn't see me but I couldn't see it. I kept moving, praying I didn't run into whatever it was further in my track.
"Roman" My name was whispered.
The voice was childlike. I could her the pitter-patter of tiny feet on the ground. The water sloshed about all around me. I remembered all the creepy children from the horror movies Virgil made me watch when it was his turn picking the movie. This made me anxious. I hoped the child was nothing like them.
"Roman" the voice grew a little louder.
I stood still. The child ran around me. I knew they were extremely close but they were not visible. I spun around searching for them. I head the activation of a light. I rotated to face it. The child stood underneath the light. My eyes fixated on them.
Their completion was paler than Virgil's foundation. It almost looked slightly blue but that could have been due to the lighting, I told myself. Their hair perfectly camouflaged with the rest of the room. It was only visible because of the light. They wore green cargo shorts and a black muscle tee.
The child stared back at me. The light above them began to flicker. Their gaze drifted upwards to observe the blinking light. The scene before me went black. The buzzing from before was back. The creature heading towards the child. I bolted towards them. I had to protect them from the beast.
I was about a metre from where I thought the child was. The light switched itself back on. The area around me was bright, almost blinding. The child was still there. A beaming smile on their face. Something crashed down between me and the child. It was a dragon-witch. Unlike any that I had faced before. It's body was of a bee. A humanoid bee. It towered over the child. The creature left them alone instead it had its attention focused on me. The bee backed up. It used one of it's back legs to shield the child.
The bee was trying to protect the child... from me?
"Roman?" the worried child asked.
I didn't respond. I had no clue what to do. What was going on?
I scanned the creature before me. I saw a sliver of white fabric made from the same material as my sash. Was that from... no. I shook my head the thought was proboaterious. Was it Melissa's?
"He won't hurt you no more" the humanoid bee spoke.
What was going on? Who was this child? I have and will never hurt a child. Before I could interrupt what was going on the bee ponced and me and pinned me down.
"Mel Stop!"
I couldn't bare to have that creature be the last thing I saw. I turned to face the child who was cowering away. We met eyes. Something struck a cord in the them because as the creature moved closer to my face, the child yanked the bee back.
I scrambled at the ground for something to protect myself. A rock or something but all that was there was mucky water.
The creature reverted back to human form. The last words the child shouted repeated in my head. Mel? No, it couldn't be. The woman shared the same long red curls except this woman's hair was wet from the filthy water. I looked away when I noticed that she was bare.
I removed my white shirt and threw it in the creatures direction. I justed the shirt I was wearing underneath. I heard the was slosh about. The child shouted at the woman. She didn't respond back.
"This won't be the last time I see you Roman" I faced the woman who was speaking to me.
She stood up.She had to hold the shirt down so it would cover her crotch. She looked extremely intimating.
"You can't escape from me. I'm everywhere. I've infested your mind"
Before I could ask her why she was doing this I was snapped out of the place. I found myself in Anxiety's room. Logic, Mortality and the room owner was there. They all stared at me in disbelief. Before I could stand one of them hugged me. To my shock it was Anxiety of all people. I couldn't believe it. He quickly retracted and acted as if that didn't happen. Patton told me he was worried and Virgil denied it. More like him. I had no idea what happened but I'm glad it was over.
Edit: My school work has been hectic for the last few weeks so I will have to take a break from writing. Conveniently I am also stumped on what to write. I should be back in two weeks so yay.
