"Roman, take us to your armory" Virgil commanded.
"What, But-"
"No complaining, we don't have enough time."
Roman sided and walked to the door that they all dreaded going into except Thomas. He had no idea what to expect.
They were all shocked at the state of the build all except Virgil. He had to rush them all long. Down the winding stone staircase and locked behind the toughested of doors was the armory. The walls were lined in armour suits, weapons were suspended in the air and placed on tables and cabinets. All of them split off grabbing things they thought they would need.
This was the royal armory. It was uphold for generations or so Roman was told. Roman knew however how unlikely that was unless this place was somehow passed down by one of Thomas' parents. The people in the kingdom had no idea about their existence like Roman did. Their ignorance was for the best.
The place had normal weapons as well as magical ones. There were weapons from all the lands in Thomas' mind. Logan had told Roman that. They had all browsed through here a number of times but Logan came here most frequently. Roman never thought it was sisphy, he is the logical side everyone trusted that he was doing something to help Thomas but they never actually found out what he was doing.
Roman roamed the armory looking for the perfect weapon but couldn't find anything that felt right. Thomas followed Roman as he had no idea what was going on. The prince stopped in front of a cabinet. The glass on this one was covered in a thin layer of dust. The rest of the place was fairly maintained which made this on seem to be untouched on purpose.
Roman wiped away the dust from the glass. Inside was two small suits of armour and two sword handles to match. A polaroid photo was hung behind the armour. The image contained Roman and Melissa all suited up.
"Aww, that's adorable" Thomas thought aloud.
Roman opened the cabinet and removed on of the sword handles. He flicked the handle which summoned the blade. It was a compact sword. The blade was three time the size of the handle. Thomas stared in awe until Roman test swung it and smashed everything in a three metre radius. All eyes turned him and he apologized and retracted the blade.
They all picked up a sword that felt comfortable. There were other solections but they were either too heavy to carry long distances or Roman didn't trust anyone using. They suited up into magical armour. It appeared like normal armour but it was lighter and made for fighting the specific creature they were after.
The most dangerous creature in the land.
