Virgil was the only one who knew where Logan was going. He could put his mind around how stupid the man was being, considering he is supposed to be the smartest out of all of them. He guessed that even the smartest of people could make the stupidest of mistakes. He was walking into a death trap.

Logan was aware of that. The castle was bigger than he had ever imagined. He had never seen the place personal. Never actually wanted to but here he was. The structure was damaged by the weather and the attacks made on the place. It was new yet one would assume it was old. It was too late to turn around now.

Virgil guided the others through the forest. He followed the man's tracks. No one else could see them but Virgil was positive they were there. He swore he could smell the man which slightly creeped out the others.

They had all been through a lot together. The world tried to break them apart but each time they grew stronger. No one trusted anyone but they did at the same time. They were meant to be together for years. That's the way they wanted to kept it. They would rather hate each other's guts but still have their presence than to love them but not have them around. The original group was almost back together. They only needed one more member.

The doors opened, inviting the group inside. Virgil warned the others to stay outside unless called upon. Virgil wanted to get Logan and get out. Virgil caught sight of Logan on the never-ending staircase before the door. He called the other side's name.

"What are you doing here?" Logan questioned.

"You can't kill her," Virgil said.

"I know." He knows, then why was he here? Virgil thought.

The sound of exploding came from upstairs. The others charged in, ignoring Virgil's orders. He groaned at their recklessness. The doors shut behind them. Well, that's great, Virgil thought. We're all stuck now.

The rescue mission was a failure. They all ventured upstairs to check out the explosion. Not the smartest idea they had today but it wasn't much of a competition at this point.

They beat the greatest enemy any of them had to face yet, the staircase. They made their way down a long hallway with portraits of former rulers on the walls. They reached one that was covered up. Virgil grabbed ahold of the fabric and was about to lift it when Logan snapped at him for touching it. He dropped the fabric and joined the others. His focus was still on the hidden portrait. What was under there? Or better yet, who?

They were walking side by side, all had their weapons raised encase something jumped out. Each hand an eye on their friend's backs. Logic nudged the master bedroom's door open and peeked inside. No one was visibly present but all of them could sense something.

Roman pushed past Logan and went inside. Logic was about to pull the man back when the slammed shut. They all jumped back. They heard the rustling of the doorknob then banging from the other side.

"And that's what we don't do," Virgil said.

Virgil shuffled through his pockets looking for anything to pick the lock with. Another explosion came from the other side of the hallway. He glared at everyone giving them a look that said 'Don't you dare go towards the sound'. Whimpering came from that direction. Patton apologised before heading towards the sound. Logan ran after him attempting to stop him.

"And then there was two" Virgil sighed.

The remaining two weren't sure of what to do. They knew it was wrong to split up. The place was splitting them up on purpose. Who knows what sort of tricks are awaiting them?
