Chapter 21

A/N : Hello all my Little Dreams! We are coming to the end of my lil story! At the end of this chapter you will have a choice to decide how the story will end. Will you choose the right one ?

The next day

"O...ow.. The pain is hurting more..." I cried while vomiting out my rotting insides. This was my punishment... I deserved this for who I am and what I did.

The voices echoed like nails on a chalk board. They were taunting me as much as they would normally. Suddenly, that had all changed. "Don't listen to her...She's gone from this world now..."

"She's here to cause your end..." "Kill her again before she gets you killed.." The voices were warming me about something. What did they mean? As I cleaned myself up I heard a familiar laughter echo into the room.

"N...no.. I thought you had left me..." I started to tear up again when I saw her face.

*Flashback*

"Wow, we really do have the most wonderful son. He's taking care of his younger sister so well." My mommy said on the phone with my dad. I was giving my baby sister her milk so she could eat.

"I'll be back in a few minutes, okay? I need to get something from the corner store." Mommy said while kissing my forehead. I was okay with it because she did this kind of thing all of the time.

When she had left my baby sister started crying violently. I tried to give her more milk but she kept spitting our the bottle. I didn't know how to stop her from crying. I tried everything i could for a 9 year old.

It had been such a long time since my mother left that I didn't know when she would come home. The room started to close in on me. The walls were vibrating and my ears felt like they were bleeding. Finally I thought there was only one way to stop her from crying. I need to put her to sleep...

I placed the pillow over her face and applied pressure. Slowly but surely the crying had finally stopped. I lifted the pillow to see her face was a slight tint of purple. It's okay though she probably would go back to normal in a moment. Laying her in my arms, I rocked her softly.

"Mijo, I'm home from the corner store. Sorry I took so long but I got your favorite snack!" My mommy came into my room then dropped everything. Her face was completely shocked and upset from what she came home to see.

Tears ran down her face as she ran and ripped my baby sister from my arms. I got up asking her what was wrong. "Get away from us ! You wretched beast, you killed your baby sister! Ay dios mio! My heart hurts, my baby is dead..." She was screaming and crying while falling to the floor.

I started crying and tugged on her saying,"mommy! I'm sorry, she wouldn't stop crying so I put her to sleep! I didn't know how to make her stop." I cried but my mother turned to me and held me close crying for the loss of her child.

Flashback Ends

"M...Maria? " I asked looking at the little girl who looked just like her. "Hi big brother! Did you miss me...?"

I couldn't believe my eyes... Was it really her? "Hey big brother! I have something important for you to see! " She said then ran off while beckoning me to follow. Her blonde pig tails swung back as her white dress flew with the breeze she created.

I didn't want to lose her so I had chased after her. I didn't care what the voices told me; I had to see where she was going. "Over here." She said running into a back room that I didn't know existed. While running down there, a voice whispered something.

"Your fate is sealed..."

My body felt chills as they ran up my back. There was a long stair way down so I carefully went down them.

"This room will show you truth behind all the lies.." Sophia said while I followed her into a small room with a chest on the floor. Curious I placed my bear down and opened it up.

There was lots and lots of letters, newspaper clippings and stuff. I started going through it all and started to understand what had happened in Aaron's past. I couldn't even understand why he had did all this.

"Now the truth about Aaron has been revealed... How does this make you feel?" Sophia asked me while still standing in front of me.

I didn't know what to even make about it but I realized something. "I...I have no room to judge him. After all I have my sins..." I started coughing really hard with blood coming out again.

"You know... Misaki isn't alive right ?" I refused to believe what she tried to tell me. Of course Misaki was still alive! "A..Aaron what are you doing down here?" I heard Misaki's voice to which I turned to see her.

"Tell him the truth now! He deserves to hear it! Stop causing my big brother so much pain! You being here isn't helping him!" Maria yelled at her which started to frighten me.

"M...Misaki? W..what is she talking about?" I asked clutching my bear tightly. Misaki looked down with tears falling down her cheeks.

I felt her warm embrace around me which made me start to cry. "I'm so sorry for using you like the way I did... Please forgive me. I always wished you were my real child."

W...was she always using me ? "Alexis... you have to let me go. I can't stay with you anymore. Please move on and live for yourself!" Misaki said softly to me holding my hand.

The truth was finally revealing itself but I just didn't want to accept it. It's not fair. She can't leave me yet! I need her still... "I..it's so hard! I don't wanna let you go! You were the mother I always wished I had!" I cried out with my voice starting to hurt.

"Don't worry Alexis. I'll always be with you inside your heart." She whispered into my ear then disappeared. Misaki was gone now... I need to learn to grow up and see the truth I kept hiding from.

"Maria.. I'm sorry for what I did to you.. Here please take back your bear. It's time that I let go of it and of you too." I said handing her the bear she once cherished.

"Thanks big brother! Thank you for holding onto it for me for so long." She smiles and held the bear close to her. I couldn't help but crack a small smile seeing how she was still so innocent. "I have to go for now. I know mom forgives you. Dad... Tell him I'll see him in Hell. I love you big brother." She said before disappearing just like how Misaki did.

"I'll see you soon..." I said while holding onto my stomach that was having another cramp. I put everything away after and went upstairs.

I already miss Misaki but I know that she's gonna be okay now. And that's okay... I'm happy that I was able to be her son for a little while. As I exited the room, I never thought I see such a horrible sight. Everyone was running around with large boards and nails.

"Alexis! There you are!" April ran towards me with fear in her eyes. "Where have you been? Follow me and help me with boarding up the place." She said dragging me to the front where everyone else was working.

I didn't know what to do so I tried to help in any way I could. It was raining really heavily like the day we lost Misaki... "Back away!" I heard Aaron scream. I didn't know what he meant so I ran back.

Suddenly. CRACK! BOOM! The giant oak tree outside the mansion had been struck by lightning. It fell down towards us and broke into the house leaving a huge hole. Rain was pouring in with zombies slowly making their way in. The outside gate must've lost power early so they got in.

I was all alone now. April and May were no where to be seen at all. As I was trying to find out what happened, I saw Aaron and Barry. Both of them were calling out for my name. I could see they were both separated by the tree. I had to choose now... Do I want to go with Aaron or Barry?
