Alexis POV
It's been about a few days since we went swimming. So eventually we were running out of ideas for fun. While sitting down and drawing, I was pretty content. I was drawing a picture of me and my parents with Misaki.
Yup, It's like we're all one big happy family! As I was drawing a cool breeze came through the air."Jeez, it's getting colder now. I better close the window now." Walking over towards the window, I couldn't help but look at the sky.
The sky's once bright and clear beauty was now gone. It's been replaced by dark clouds and was now ominous. This can't be good, was the only thing I could think to myself.
"It's time. The day we warned you about... You can't escape your fate! Prepare yourself for it's near..." The voices were being louder than ever today. I just took my pills a few hours ago yet they were still slipping by.
I've learned to try and ignore them but every now and then they still get to me. "Why can't you guys ever shut the hell up! It's always about you guys." I screamed out in annoyance.
"Hey Alexis! Hurry and follow me to the back outside. The weathers getting bad so we need to gather what we can and secure the rest." April ran off holding a basket.
I abandoned my drawing to help everyone out. As I was running outside behind April, I saw Aaron and Barry strengthening the barriers we made. When I made it outside I saw she was right.
"Quick Alexis, anything that's harvestable, put it into the basket. Then make sure all the windows are locked up tightly to avoid damage. I'll bring the animals somewhere safe while you take care of this." April told me then proceeded to do her tasks.
Looking at everything around me, I picked out what areas I needed to go into. Running over to the vegetables I harvested the ones that looked ready. Then I did the same for any fruits.
The winds were getting even stronger now. The whole entire green house was starting to shake from the harsh winds. It was like a unnatural force was trying to shake the place violently. Making sure to lock all the windows, I ran back to the school with what I had. "Here let me help you out there!" Barry grabbed the food that was starting to fall off from me running,
"T..thanks!" I replied struggling to get back to the teachers lounge. After I placed it down, I had decided to help Misaki out.
"Misaki do you need any help with collecting all the clothes?" I asked watching her struggle to grab everything with the wind making it harder. "Y...yes please. Grab those clothes off the line for me." She replied hastily.
I went over and started ripping clothes off of the clothes line. We were barely able to get the clothes on time before the rain started to come.
Hurrying inside the rain grew more and more stronger. "You always were my little helper...Thank you for always being there when I need you most dear." Misaki said while tussling my hair.
I laughed and we walked back to the faculty room together. When we got to the class everyone was in there. They looked just as exhausted as we were. "It took you guys long enough to get here." Aaron said.
As we all sat down together you could hear how heavy everyone's breathing was. Reaching into my bookbag I cuddled my bear to remind me everything's okay. Suddenly the thunder came down which frightened me as it always had. When I got frightened I latched onto Misaki like I would always do.
