Chapter 7

“Alyssa? Earth to Alyssa?”, Finn jabbed at my side. “C’mon!”, he spoke, annoyed.

"We need to find the others!", I answered.

“Why?”, he whined. What  a dick.

“What if they all die because you were too selfish to save them?.”

"They won't die. Stop being yourself for a second and switch off the drama queen.”, he answered.

"Oh, stop it, will you?", I scowled.

"Are you scared I might try something on you, alone?", He joked, leaning in.

I could smell his light cologne mixed in with Fran's amazingly fresh cleaning detergent.

I blinked a few times as my heartbeats did a weird dance.

"You wouldn't.", I answered.

"And how do you know that?", His playful smile dissapeared.

“Your parents are home.”

“Fuck, I totally forgot. Good thing I’m only buzzed and not completely wasted. This was a great party to remember. Especially for you-“

“Finn, we should find them!”, I demanded.

"Nope, no time.", He answered, grabbing his jacket.

“Finn.”, I looked straight at his eyes. Currently, they were bright green.

Just then, a big manly-boy from the wrestling team, most likely, rounded the corner, about to zero in on Finn.

I laughed, sitting down, ready to watch how Finn charmed his way out of this one.

"What are you doing?", He hissed, grabbing at my arm

"Stop! You're caught! Deal with the consequences.", I smiled sweetly.

"You planned this didn't you?", He hissed down at me.

"No, I didn't even have to.", I laughed.

"Please! Please, just please get up and let's go!", his eyes were a misty grey but they were pleading desperately with me. And something inside of me just wouldn't let me say no.

"Fine.", I answered reluctantly, watching wrestler-boy get closer, take long easy strides.

“Well aren’t you going to get up?”, he motioned.

“Can you pick me up?”, I joked, extremely tired.

“I could.”, he answered.

“Humor me.”, I rolled my eyes.

He actually did it. He picked me up off the ground and threw my full 110 pounds of glory over his shoulder as if I was a stuffed animal.

“Finn! PUT ME DOWN!”, I screamed. “I wasn’t serious.”
