The Carnival

( Part Three )

Finn crossed his arms. His faded black lacrosse sweatshirt was worn and tattered, but it just made the outfit look that much better.

He had on a pair of white basketball shorts, sneakers, and his sweatshirt. I couldn’t help but notice his hands that were trembling.

“Why did you take this cart from Clay and Danny?”, Finn pouted, staring at the ground.

“Why were you hiding in the corner like a pedophile?”, I retorted.

“Touché.”, he leaned back, sliding back into the darker corner.

“Why are you hiding?”, I questioned.

                “I’m not hiding.”

“Then I guess you just like to hide in dark corners?”, I rolled my eyes at his obvious stupidity.

                “I don’t.”

“Then come out into the light. What, are you a vampire?”, I asked ,irritated.

“Alright. Fine!”, He exclaimed, slowly sliding closer to the windows, out of the darkness.

His lightly tousled hair looked soft and brown. His eyes seemed to have turned green in that split second.

“Your eyes turned-“, I paused. I noticed he was shuddering again. That’s when something clicked in my mind.

“YOU’RE SCARED OF HEIGHTS!”, I laughed hysterically, clutching my stomach. “STILL? REALLY FINN?”, I laughed and laughed till’ my stomach hurt.

“I haven’t changed much since I was six!”, he exclaimed defensively.

“Oh god, this is hilarious.”, I laughed.

“Shut up. I see you’re still the stupid blonde who’s obsessed with the color yellow. Maybe if you weren’t, we wouldn’t’ be stuck in this stupid death trap together”, he grumbled.

                “You remembered?”, I asked, confused.

“Well, yeah.”, he paused. “It was only the only ever color that you wore.”, He answered in a weird voice.
