The Morning After

I gently tugged at a strand of hair that was stuck to my face, also comfortably rolling around in bed. After finding a new equally comfortable and soft spot in bed, I snuggled in.

But, something was on my face.

Wads of hair were plastered to my face. I kept trying to push them off but realized that my face wasn’t washed from yesterday, my hair must have had been greasy and disgusting, and my makeup must have had been running down my face.

I groaned in frustration.

What happened last night? I could vaguely remember a car-ride home, dancing on a table, getting a piggy-back ride, and having a mental break down.

Who drove me home? Someone with auburn-colored hair,  piercing eyes, and strong arms that carried me up the stairs.

Clay? Danny? Chaz? Some stranger?

I whipped my head around to check if there was any strange boy in my bed. To my relief, I was very much alone.

I thought long and hard, but my memory failed me.

I was getting out of bed when I realized I wasn’t wearing the same shirt I wore to the party. Only Teddy’s neon bandeau, an oversized t-shirt, and boxers.

What?

I quickly hopped out of bed and ran over to my mirror to see how bad the rest of my face looked and cringed.

I was breaking out, my hair was a mess, and my makeup was indeed coming off my face in streaky black puddles. I grabbed a makeup-removing sheet and began wiping the gunk off my face. After I finished, I sighed with relief.

And that was why I didn’t wear makeup.

As I finished throwing my hair into a messy bun on my head, someone bursted into my room.

‘of course. No knocking…That’s the reese boys for you.’, I thought to myself, as I rolled my eyes.

I turned around to check who it was when my eyes widened and I took a step back, in shock, but only crashing into my desk.

I let out a few breaths.

Auburn hair, toned and muscular arms peeking out of his shirt, and there were those eyes again. They were currently a hazy grey-ish blue.

He was holding my shirt…And my pants.

Finn.
